EJC, the first song I thought of was Christine Sixteen but I'm sure there are others.

So we all pretty much love 5150 and Back In Black but what tracks would you consider filler? I'll start: I never really liked You Shook Me All Night Long. Yes, it was the biggest hit on the record but way too commercial and overplayed for my tastes. And I gotta say I never really cared for Inside. Sorry to those that like it but it was just too weird and out of character for the band. What say you all?

“You Shook Me All Night Long” may be played to death, but that’s a classic tune. Nothing filler about it.
"He has a swaggering retro machismo that will give hives to the Steinem cabal" -Camille Paglia on Donald Trump

"But, fucking with Brook is like fucking with hot shit on and ax handle. You just don't get a grip"-track5

"Make way for the bad guy"- Tony Montana

'This hamburger don't need no helper"- David Lee Roth

"I wish Bon Jovi would've given me a call before he recorded all of his hits, because the lyrics would've been smarter, the melodies would've been much more smashing, and they would've sold a lot fewer records." -David Lee Roth

"My beef is people thinking Bon Jovi is good cuz they sold lots of records to housewives." -tango

"But being number one doesn’t really mean jack fuck all. We sold twice as many records as other records that year (1984) that landed in the Number One position." ~Eddie Van Halen

BB, yeah you're right. It is pretty ridiculous to say that Shook is filler but I still don't like it. The video, on the other hand, is not that bad considering all the eye-candy...hehe

I've got a problem with this video - no Phil Rudd. Simon Wright doesn't belong in that vid.

You Shook Me is a perfect example of why the comparison of the albums is really far fetched. Everybdoy knows that song. My dad knows it and is 86 because he hears it at the gym. I have heard it at numerous weddings, parties, etc. WHen physical jukeboxes were a thing, that album was in every juke box from Maine to San Diego. I can't recall when I have seen 5150 or have heard a song from that album at an event. Not talking about people here who are die hards. Some of you likely have the wings tattooed on a calf or your Panama City license plate.

As Brett said BIB is their 1984. Its really the Thriller or hard rock. If you have the Mount Rushmore of hard rock or heavy metal albums for the general populice, that, Black, Appetitie and probably LZ 4 would be on it Not 5150 and likely not any VH album.

Doesn't mean 5150 is trash. BIB is simply like the 27 Yankees.

Me, too! FOTS is damn fine all the way.

Take Landslide - what a kick ass tune with a great fast tempo. They never did something similar after that.
From the same record, there is Brain Shake - most of the tunes are like glue to your brain and that's also the point.

YSMANL a filler? Man, I don't think so. There's no way it's a filler - that's Malcolm, Angus and Brian telling John Mutt Lange how they wanted the song to be instead of the silly idea of putting the verses much longer than what was recorded and released.

As for 5150, Get Up and Inside - not a fan of both tunes (even though Get Up is somehow a decent tune).

There are 02 video shoots for that tune:

1 - Directed by Eric Dionysius and Eric Mistler

2 - Directed by David Mallet

That video was from Who Made Who 1986. Simon WAS the drummer then.

Dry your diaper and watch the original from 1980...
