I don't see Al signing off on anything that would benefit Hagar. Hope I'm wrong but not holding my breath on this one.

I don't need a new copy of OU812 or 5150, and a remastering won't fix what I don't like about 5150 anyway. OU812 is the one that really needs it.

I'm curious, what do you not like about 5150? How thin it sounds?

That’s my biggest complaint. Don’t like the drum sound much either.

Same. Al used the Simmons on 1984 too. I think a lot of the blame for the thin production was Mick Jones. It sounded like a lot of the Foreigner records. Just my take.

Its amazing how different the Simmons sound on 1984 and then 5150. I understand one may go "well they are on 84.." That said Eddie used the same equipment on VH3 compared to the BOV1 songs. One sounds like shit and the other is pretty good.

I do wish somebody would do to 5150 and OU812 as what Brendon O'Brien did wtih Ten on Pearl Jam. Those remixes sound so much more agressive and better than the original mix.

I do hope these come out but I will have to hear it from Alex or even Mike first

Not sure why you guys are pining for an updated RHRN. It's not even a live album outside of the crowd noise. That thing and the DVD should be remastered to the trash bin.

I've seen this notion a handful of times. Is there precedence that Alex has this attitude that he won't take money for himself if it will also contribute to Sammy's bank account?

Earlier this week, I heavily insinuated that Al, most likely wasn't going to do a thing. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't usually like to be wrong, but I hope I am in this case.

As far as a Live album, it's probably RHRN. If so, I wonder if they'll fish out the original vocals that Ed hated so much. Make a real live album out of it, not this studio vocals crap.

If it is LWAN, which I'd rather have, I hope they dig out some extras to include.
