Akira Tagasaki certainly listened to Van Halen A LOT and got inspired by EVH for sure!

(May Munetaka rest in peace - such a great and talented drummer. He was a beast!!)
Great record. And Akira Takasaki is definitely one of the best guitar players of the 80s, one of Eddie's most talented "musical sons."

Going by memory but I think they were from Bahhhstan. I also think they won some sort of contest on MTV for a song by an unsigned band. I only found out about them because I dug Spread Eagle and did some cool stuff on there. Found out he now writes soundtracks and I think lives in Europe.

I hear a lot of DLR in the vocal delivery. The backing vocals, especially that high harmony definitely have that VH feel. Good find!

So no one else is going to comment on how much that Bang band ripped off "So This Is Love?"

It's twice as much as Roxy Blue for goodness sakes.

You are making the very big assumption that anyone clicked on a video by a band named "Bang".
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!
