Was the synth line to Jump a tribute to the Danish club Brondby IF?
Doing research for a 1984 documentary and saw on the wikki for Jump that states, "The synth line was written circa 1981 by Eddie Van Halen as a tribute to the Danish club Brondby IF,". I can't find and other info that backs this up.
Have anyone of you ever heard this outside of the Wikki post?
Thanks!

Brøndby IF is a football (soccer) team. I don’t know much about football but I am from Denmark. Brøndby uses Jump as their anthem when they walk in on the pitch. I’d be really surprised if Ed even knew about this team. Most likely a fan of the team has taken some liberties with historical facts.

Unfortunately, too many people want bold and brash action over prudence. I'm glad prudence won the day.
