Mattingly it’s not even close.

Guys don’t even really like playing for him. At least Roberts has the players on his side. He made horrible decisions too.

I just think when you are naturally good with something (whether it is sports or otherwise) it is hard to transfer that ability to others and frustrating when they can't do the things you can.

Baseball to me is just so simple to coach compared to other sports.

I coached my younger cousin's Soccer team. I would imagine it is easier than baseball to coach. Kick the ball in the big net and try not to go offside.

While I like Mattingly as a player, he had zero business being the Dodgers manager. He was towed over with Joe Torre and had never been a manager before. I'm not even sure he was in a dugout before LA as a coach. As painful as Roberts is at times, he has won a lot of games. Mattingly fucked up in the NLCS vs Cardinals, that's about all I can complain about with him.

I read Cole Hamels has had 3 surgeries and feels great. Now this is a guy I could actually take a chance on, he already stole a million from LA in 2021. Why not bring him back for another go.

It's a different beast that is for sure. This sport has no halftime, no rah rah speeches.

A very mental game. It's just in baseball that one decision that doesn't seem like much at the time, can lose the game.
