With Bobby Hull, almost a tale of 2 guys.... the player from the guy he was after his career.

Obviously one one the best goal scorers of all time. One of the top 60s/70s early players of all time. A Superstar. Helped the WHA take off in 1972 with the Jets, has "IT" when it came to star power.

But an embarrassment to the game after his career. Blackhawks removed him as their "ambassador". Almost beat his ex-wife to death. Beat his other wife as well. Possibly made Hitler comments.

Honestly I never heard of any of this dirt from his past. I also don't believe when someone dies it's the time to bring it up.

I don't trust the Moscow Times. Anything Russian can't be trusted.

That was pretty big news when the Blackhawks removed him from any ambassador or alumni events. A lot of it was swept under the rug back in the old days.

Saw him play twice in person as a kid at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto around 1971. Still have one of the programs.

Chicago was an entertaining team back then with the 2 Hull's, Espo in goal, and Mikita.

The Skills Comp is basically unwatchable if you are over 35 years old....lol....

Didn't really even watch the ASG since it was on at noon .... on a Saturday.... on the West Coast....

But I get it, it is a corporate showcase, not a real game. Hopefully some kids watched it. Maybe they should just go FULL Nickelodeon like the NFL does....

I also like the old format better. They change the all star game format a lot. In the original 6 days, they used to have the Stanley Cup champs play against an all star team!

It was a decent game, I am glad Larkin had a hat trick and Suzuki had 2 goals.

I am not a fan of these uniforms though, I guess they wanted a Miami theme with Miami Vice colours.

End of an era for the Blues as Tarasenko was traded to the Rangers for 1st round pick. He wasn't going to re-sign after this season, so getting even a late first round pick is a decent return. Unfortunately the Blues have been so competitive in recent years they've been forced to hold onto assets longer than they probably wanted to because they didn't want to close their window, but as a result they lost some key pieces for nothing like Perron and Pietrangelo. While I hate to see the Blues dismantled, at this point we aren't winning anything this year even with the players we have, so sell them off and get what you can to get us competitive again sooner. Expect Barbashev to be dealt and possibly O'Reilly. I hope both get dealt to be honest. I like them both but would rather have the picks/prospects than lose them for nothing.

Sharks got 2 of the biggest names in the Trade rumors.

Upcoming RFA Timo Meier looks to be getting the most interest. NJ, Toronto and Carolina. Timo is having a great season, 30 goals & 21 Assists, he is also a power forward that will go to the front of the net.

Erik Karlsson is a bit trickier .... While he is currently the BEST Offensive DMAN in the League (18 goals, 55 Assists), his huge contract ($11.5 Mil for 4 more years..lol) would have to be paid down by the Sharks or a 3rd team with Cap Room would have to get involved. Edmonton is the name in most of the rumors, some also have said Dallas or Winnipeg could make a run.

Ryan O'Reilly workin out ok so far for TO, 5 points in 3 games. I really like this deal. ROR can still be a great 2 way Center on the 2nd line. Good in his own end, also good on faceoffs. Or can even go to 3c if they want to keep JT at 2C.

In response to Jim Thomas asking why that's the case: "I don't know, you'll have to ask them, Jim. I guess they don't care about the team."
