Yeah but he talks out of his ass so you know never know. But God love 'em! I remembered him saying that but was thinking maybe it was a little older of an article and they just rushed the song to be a bonus and he hasn't said anything yet. More likely what you said though. But that title, man...you know?!

I really loved "Bottom Line" but "2120" sounds like a better version of that to me somehow. That, with the chorus of the vocal bridge to the guitar solo from "Get It Up." "We can change the worrrrrld..." Favorite part of that song oddly enough.

    Sam is in good voice.

Michael Anthony featured on bgvox on a few songs provide a few magic moments.

Music is more classic 70s rock and roll. No cutting edge playing as with Chickenfoot.

Band is tight... seasoned pros, they are.

    Production is adequate.

    Videos are quite fun.

While there is an opening and closing theme suggested of the twilight of life...

... most of the Songwriting still feels a bit unfocused and rushed.
Wish he'd write with someone... or have a song doctor go over the lyrics.

Glad he's still doing it. Hats off.

2120 is 5150 upside down. Coincidence?

I gave this an honest listen with an open mind. No question Sammy absolutely sounds 100000X better than DLR and he's in key but this sounds more like a Bon Jovi Record to me. I don't like the way MA's backgrounds are mixed. When I saw all the hype for the background vocals I was expecting more and I don't think it has anything to do with the song because MA can take a song like the inside and make it good. To me it just doesn't sound like Michael Anthony and I will probably get flamed saying that but it sounds nothing like the classic background vocals. The songs are on the weak side IMO, and I don't like the guitar playing. I'd rather hear Hagar do all the guitar work than Vic Johnson. Definitely a good offering for someone in their 70's and its good to see Hagar putting out Music but I am a fan of something like in the vein like High Hopes with in your face guitar and vocals. I know those days are long gone but I'm luke warm on this at best.

Which Bon Jovi record sounds like this? I don't see the ressemblance, neither vocally or musically. Some have said there's a song with a Mellencamp influence - that I hear. And certainly there's a very "Floyd" number, Childhood's End. I'm not hearing the second most famous guy from New Jersey at all.

Does anyone have the credits for the songs?

I’m curious who is involved in 2120.

David Cobb and Sammy my guess

It is a great rock album and it's great to hear sammy being truer to his original sound whereas Chickenfoot III sounded like Sammy singing to Dave era Van Halen to me. I like most anything Sammy does and I like this as well.

It's never going to sound like the classic backing vocals because it's missing EVH. Mike's voice is the most distinctive part of the VH backing vocal sound, but he's singing over top of Ed and without him...it still sounds good, but never the same. It will always be recognizable, but "Something's missing"
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em. -
