I like Wolf's version better AND he played it all and sung it all himself so that takes it to a different level.

As for whether it was intentional or not, I can't say, but dang, Wolf had one of the more successful albums for his genre (the same as hers) last year, that was one of the main singles, and it came with a legit video that was worth watching, so someone in her circle (if not her) HAD to be aware and make the connection. There's just no way they could have their head in the sand that badly. So either they were like "eh, who cares" or they were like "sounds good, let's do something similar."

Oh and Ed stealing a riff for Baluchitherium...lol...if you're going to steal something make it something worth stealing, you know what I mean? It's like stealing used underwear.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

And really everything is just some derivation of something else at this point... Rock music as we know it has been around for 70+ years now and there's only so many chords, notes, melody's, beats, tempos...

Both songs have ZZ Top LaGrange DNA

But Sabbath's version is better than all...

I can't hear the Def Leppard song "Let's Get Rocked" written by Def Leppard/Mutt Lange, without hearing Shania Twain singing it. "Man, i feel like a woman" is similar in it's construction, which is fine since Mutt wrote both songs. They both even have that first line spoken intro.

Yup, that's exactly when DL started becoming shite. Right after Steve Clarke passed.

    Thumbs up

I love Let's Get Rocked, I love Vai, and I love Orianthi!

I do wonder if Wolfie has the guitar chops to do a guitar duet with Vai like Orianthi did about a decade ago?

    Maybe....

But Steve Vai is on a whole other different kind of level or style right now.....

I don't believe so... Wolf is a good guitar player within his range, but not at the level of Orianthi or Vai ten years ago nor today. Not a slam... just far too different gifts and talents for comparative guitar playing capabilities.
