I think she was when she was younger. Then she seemed to get overly skinny, while also showing a lot more skin, yet I don't think she looks as good.

Very pretty, but not the same since she decided to go for the heroin model diet.

And Iíll add that she was dating Richie Sambora. How do you date an Italian guy and lose weight?

I agree the hook in Wolfgang's chorus is a little catchier than Orianthi's...

Her songwriting also reflects a lot of other artists collaborations and her overall influences come from a really wide variety of genres and styles. Some of her stuff doesn't interest me at all and others are great to listen to mainly from my guitar playing/composition interests.

Wolfgang on the other hand, with his first album has painted himself artistically into a very small box from a composition, style and tone. It may be interesting to hear him evolve musically... which I hope he does... we'll see.

Richie is actually of mostly Polish ancestry according to everything I've seen. His mother may be part Italian though...

I always thought Sambora was Italian, but it's not.

Also always wished John had gone back to his proper Italian name, Bongiovi. But he probably has enough $ to not have to worry about what I think...

Didn’t know that. I did a quick search of his mom’s surname and its origin might be Polish. Weird they can’t pin that one down.

Either way, Ori has become a waif

Havenít listened to it but if her song isnít as close a ripoff as the sections Ed and Al straight up lifted from Cactus on VH 1 than I donít really care.

I also highly doubt Orianthi heard Wolfís song and said, ďIíll just take that. Thank youĒ

Check it out. It is very close....

From wiki.... it looks like Jacob Bunton is the co Writer with Orianthi. Possibly his part is the opening that is close to MVH "Don't Back Down".......

Jacob Bunton is an Emmy Award-winning composer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Birmingham, AL. His credits include Mariah Carey, Steven Tyler, Smokey Robinson, Akon, Pop Evil, The Doors, and many more. In addition, Bunton is also the vocalist for former Guns N Roses drummer Steven Adler's rock band Adler and Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars solo project.

    +++++++

    Some of his OTHER work

There's only so many ways to write a drop D rock riff, so it could be a coincidence. But it really sounds like a subconscious ripoff. She probably listened to the Mammoth debut last summer, forgot about it, and then wrote and recorded this track recently.

I agree with the sentiment that Wolf should put more solos in his music. I disagree that he doesn't due to fear of comparison with his father. If he were worried about that then the few solos we have wouldn't feature tapping, tap harmonics, and other general Ed-isms. Wolf seems to be pretty intent on serving the song and only featuring solos when necessary.

Well, just like his dad; people are already copying stuff off of Wolf's 1st record.

    Let's leave it at that.

Must mean he's doing something right in rock'n'roll.

PS - Orianthi's tune is no Don't Back Down, but it ain't bad by any means.
