I have not flown on a plane for over 10 years and I do enjoy travel but those days are over for me. Every gas crisis the airlines raise prices and when gas falls back they never lower them. The frequent flyer mile programs with the credit cards keep getting less and less to the point you might as well not even participate. Charging for carry on bags is standard now almost. 40 years ago they treated you like royalty when you flew now you are treated like cattle to the slaughter.
