Numb to the Touch

On vhnd.com's retrospective interview with Sammy Hagar about OU812, he mentions Numb to the Touch as a near-completed song that would have been on OU812. Has anyone ever heard this before? Does anyone know if the riff got recycled into a future song? This is the first I have heard of this particular song. Wonder if there is a version lying around 5150 somewhere...

I remember hearing about Numb to the Touch and Out of the Ether as two unreleased VH songs but I thought those were from the F.U.C.K. album. It's very possible that Sammy is getting his albums mixed up. Obviously he was there and would know but it's probably all a big blur to him. I wouldn't blame him one bit as I'm sure VH trivia is not something he readily thinks about. he's always getting the years wrong when he announces songs from a particular album. I'm thinking I could be in well into my 80's before I hear any unreleased stuff out of 5150 (I'm 51 now).

There is a track titled Amnesty Is Granted on the Marching To Mars album in 1997.

Sam recorded Returning of the wish which has the same lyrics as the original but new music. Sam said at one time that the keyboards used on Once were originally going to be used for the wish.

I think Sam played Amnesty is granted for the band and they didn't like it, meatloaf did record a version of it, Sammy plays guitar and sings one line at the end of the song (maybe he's singing a chorus or something, don't remember), he did re-record it for MTM. he did the same thing with a song called Someday but that song was released much later (I think on the livin it up disk)

Sammy vocal in Meatloafs version is small yet it makes the song so much better.
