The Angels are not an LA team. They do not play in LA. Anaheim is not in Los Angeles. F the Angels and Arte Moreno. There’s only one LA baseball team and they don’t wear that ugly ass red. It’s a disgrace that the league allowed him to use that name. At least the Anaheim Ducks understand. It’s like the Angels aren’t even proud of where they play.

Haha...I still say Anaheim. The new name is stupid. Isn't the official name something like "The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" or something ridiculous like that? I vaguely remember it being something along those lines.

Other than that, though, I'm happy for the team, for Trout mainly. I'd like to see one of the elite players play in more postseason games.

Yeah they all but dropped that “of Anaheim” bullshit part of the name which of course everyone knew they would. That was the whole eventual goal. They’re just the Los Angeles Angels now.

There’s actually some drama going on with them right now because of the resignation of the mayor and some corrupt shit with regards to the Angel Stadium land sale. I’m hoping the Angels were involved in something really corrupt especially that creep Arte Moreno. That would be awesome.

And Anaheim Angels always sounded much better than Los Angeles Angels. Shit even California Angels sounded better. They just can’t accept they’re not LA for some reason. Which is ironic considering people in Orange County fucking hate LA and vice versa. When the Rams moved to Anaheim in 1980 they didn’t become the Anaheim Rams. People would’ve been pissed but honestly they probably should have. I actually think if they became the Anaheim Rams it would’ve helped them in the local community. The Rams were also the first professional team here and they were the LA Rams for 33 years before they moved to Anaheim so at least it made sense to leave the name alone.

They had no intention of ever staying in Los Angeles like you said they were waiting for their stadium to be built. They were always going to be in Anaheim.

It’s not a situation like the Chargers who actually did start in LA and weren’t planning on moving to San Diego, it just happened.

And like I said I’m not totally against the idea that the Rams would have done better had they switched their no matter that they had been the LA Rams for 33 years. I think the fact that they were an LA team ruined them locally in Anaheim. It’s like they never were committed to being part of the community.
