But in fairness Rock was probably pretty stunned.

Come on. Chris Rock made a fairly innocuous joke (that he may not have even written) and Will Smith assaulted him. Do you think the Fresh Prince would have done that to someone like Dave Chapelle?

The Oscars isn't the right time or place to rush the stage and assault a comedian for telling a joke. That was despicable.
