Funny how shit goes around in Europe. Napoleonic era was insane. WW1 and WW2 basically the same conflict with an intermission and genocide. North America much less insanity but plenty of killing. War with Mexico coming again do not not laugh it off . Maybe another US civil war but guerilla style. Idiots

Seriously... the US needs to be at war with Mexico to stop the flow of Fentanyl precursors coming in to their ports from China.

And border control, northern and southern Mexico, to be exact.

I actually had a heart to heart with my co-worker out of Guadalaraja? yesterday. We were having friendly conversation and I was like "are the cartels as bad as what we make it?" He said his wife works at the mall and it was shot up 3 weeks ago or so because cartel was trying to kidnap somebody. He asked if that answered my question.

Anyway I along with many others do have an idea that if or when Putin goes away, everything in Russia will be better. Sometimes that isn't the case. Saddam left and what did we get? Shah left and what did we get? Sometimes you get the short stick.

I do worry about esclation but to be honest, outside of going nuclear, not sure what Shorty P can do. As bad as we may think what could happen to us or Western Europe, it will be 10 times that on Russia. Conventional or otherwise. I imagine that people who surround him know it and he does too. People like him crave power. He doesn't want to lose it.

I do not off the top of my head but Putin did pull out of some treaties. Is the requirement to notify participants embedded in one of the ones Putin pulled from? I do not know but may be an unintended result of Putin tactics over the years.

Russian land silos are in decay. A large percentage of them would be at high risk of detonation on Russian soil. They still have sheer volume and they do have a new updated facility but they overall are in bad shape. The entire state has been failing the past decade and they simply no longer have the population to sustain their model

They have a shortage of people to work in oil and manufacturing. Most highly educated have left over the past decade. Russia stopped officially reporting demographic data over a decade ago because it was so embarrassing. Now with Ukraine some borders were closed due to the mass exodus out if Russia. The ones left are not their best and brightest. combined with a birthrate below replacement. Russia is a slow collapsing failed state and this is Putin's last gasp. Given the world rolled over last time he figured they would this time and he could push to the mountains in Romania. A decade of denial and just crazy he believed his own propaganda and underestimated how far his military had declined. But history shows us dictators buy into their own propaganda is usually a fatal flaw before they fall. Russia is just playing it out but on steroids due to their sheer size but this is the natural arc for these dictators.

The websites of German airports have been hit by cyberattacks instigated by a Russian “hacker group”, authorities said Thursday.

The Federal Cyber Security Authority (BSI) had “knowledge of DDoS attacks against targets in Germany”, a spokesman told AFP.

A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is designed to overwhelm the target with a flood of internet traffic, preventing the system from functioning normally.

The attacks were aimed “in particular at the websites of airports”, as well as some “targets in the financial sector” and “the websites of federal and state administrations”, the spokesman said.

The attack had been “announced by the Russian hacker group Killnet”, the BSI spokesman said.

The group’s call to arms was in response to Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s announcement Wednesday that Germany would send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine to help repel the Russian invasion, according to financial daily Handelsblatt.
