VH 1980 at the Nassau Coliseum !! A whole bunch of us went to the show. We weren't old enough to drive yet so my friends dad dropped us off. One of my friends snuck a flask of Jack Daniels under his jacket. That coupled with a big bag of weed and what a night it was. The thing I remember most about that show was Loss of Control. VH had the smoke machine pumping during LOC and Eddie would duck under the smoke and pop up on different parts of the stage !! I also remember the opening band.... The Cats !!! Truly incredible memories

You’ve been around to long Chris to not know the drum and bass solos always come before Eddie’s solo! Love Al and Mike doing their thing, but like going to a Rush concert, the only solo everyone is there to see is and was Eddie; (like Neil). Have to highlight the GOAT towards the conclusion of the show, not after the second song!!

Still remember (almost) every wizardry thing he played back in the earlier years. What a blessing to have seen his magic 78-84. He may have been miserable playing with Roth by 80-81, but boy was his energy playing those solos off the hook and truly amazing. Loved his playing throughout his career (2004 being the exception) but man was he lightening in a bottle basically every show back then.

Even in this horrible audio, you feel that VH energy that sounds like 3 guitarists playing but coming from one set of hands. What a God given gift that left me speechless after every show…

DLR was great on the first three tours, then he started to be hit or miss in 1981, with more misses as his career and lack of care of his voice accumulated.

He was still great the two nights I saw them in 1981, but, yeah, by 1982 he began to focus more on the show than his vocals.

This audio is pretty rough on this one.....

but.... it made be go back and listen to Largo 1980 and London 1980 today. Fuckin great Tour.

They changed it up a little bit on this tour. On Fire in the late part of the run. Feel Your Love Tonight, Atomickpunk and Light Up the Sky earlier on the 1st leg.

You know the Largo 1980 video is locked up and being hoarded.... haha.... Sure hope we see it someday. The circulating Soundboard Audio obviously comes from the hoarded video source like 82 Largo... Invasion Tour is dry as a bone for circulating video....

Damn... that was like 15 years ago when the 4/13/1980 St Paul, MN 8mm video got released. Figured something else would come out of the woodwork at this point from 1980?
