Lol I was just playing with you. I don't even have to look up his stats to know this. We are talking about the Orioles man. There are actually people in Baltimore mostly young who really think this team is going to be like Houston one day because we have their cheating assistant GM 3 years now. Lmao

There will be no long term success in Baltimore until Angelos sells the team.

Interesting quote from Max S on the differences between Washington and LA.

Scherzer said the Dodgers limiting his pitch count and trying to keep him fresh for the postseason lowered his work capacity and he thinks led to his dead arm. Said in DC he was relied on and pushed to consistently go 110 pitches every five days so more built up for ‘19 WS run

Looks like the Dodgers are keeping Chris Taylor which probably is a good thing. He probably has more importance for the Dodgers because he can play pretty much everywhere and heís never hurt.

The more I think about giving Seager all that money and so forth, the more Iím not upset about it honestly. I saw a stat that he played 452 of 709 possible games last five years and Iím thinking back, and yeah he was hurt an awful lot. Plus he really was limited in that he only could play shortstop, you couldnít put him anywhere else. I think the nice thing about the Dodgers is that a lot of guys can play several different positions and that is a benefit. Not that he needed to do that but just throwing that out there as something that he couldnít do. I just donít think he is a franchise-changing player. Heís not. Heís a very good player though. I would loved to have kept him for the right price, but itís pretty obvious to me he didnít wanna be here anymore anyway. The Dodgers did make him a really big offer to extend here and he denied it so he just wanted out. Iím guessing heíll be on the IL in the first two months anyway. .

To be fair... They (LAD) limited his pitch count in Late Sept (Reg Season), because he was getting knocked out of games in the 5th inning...lol.. Gave up 5 runs in each of those 2 starts in Sept. Right before that he went 8 innings, 8 innings and 7 innings in Mid September.

Sounds more like excuses looking deeper.

Also his claim about 2019 is a bit inflated. He pitched 172 innings in 2019. He pitched 179 innings in 2021.

Max also did cortisone injections in the 2019 World Series. Pitched in relief in 2019. But different injuries than 2021 (NLCS).

I didnít know all that so good information. But I still think Roberts handles starters poorly. All this keeping guys fresh bullshit led them to basically not having Scherzer or Kershaw last year when it mattered.

He would have wanted even more to stay in LA due to taxes. He's a really good player but both those big Texas deals make the Gausman overpay look like a bargain. I think the Dodgers rightfully passed on that.

Yeah they got Manny Machado, but he didnít actually do all that much when he was here. In fact he probably hurt more than helped.

Took Seager 7 years to hit 104 home runs. He's never really had all that many RBIs in a season. a .300 hitter with a questionable glove.

How did he command that much money ? He played for the best offense and without those Dodgers he might not do that well.
