Who would take Westbrook in a trade? Could the Lakers even give him away right now?

He is making like $45 million. It would be extremely hard to trade him.

Not all bad news in California...

Warriors are 18-2. They also have the return of Klay on the horizon, maybe by Christmas if all goes well.

G League to start practicing, maybe some games. Warriors assign Klay Thompson & James Wiseman to Santa Cruz.

Not sure why Curry lost his mind on that no call last night, the guy barely touched him.

NBA is starting to become like soccer in that regard.

Nobody wants Westbrook. Why the Lakers traded for a guy nobody would ever want to anyway is beyond me. You know Washington was laughing when the Lakers made an offer for him. They were like holy shit we got a sucker!

Outside of the turnovers, Westbrook’s numbers are actually pretty decent. The problem is that he is a horrible fit with Lebron and AD.

    It's a defensive issue.

The championship team had enough defensive grit to let Lebron and AD work the offense and they could outscore people because they could stop the other team from scoring.

This team cannot defend the same way, and even with a 3rd star can't muster enough offense to make up for the bad defense.

And part of it is the roster make up. The only way I see this team winning is if they outscore opponents by so much their lack of defense doesn't matter, but that isn't Vogel's MO. He is still trying to go defense first when what you need to do with this group of guys is the Phil Jackson philosophy of great offense makes guys more intense on defense.

I think for a team that was lazy and had a bunch of guys who didn't try very hard, Westbrook was great for the Wizards, he helped make a change in the culture in that effort matters.

But yeah, he's a horrible fit for a team like the Lakers.

Not sure the best place to put this, but this is a new, fictionalized, HBO series about the rise of the Lakers Showtime dynasty.

I mean fictionalized the same way I would use it for The People vs. OJ Simpson/Impeachment: American Crime Story as opposed to the OJ: Made in America doc or The Clinton Affair doc.

"Scripted" is also a term that is used, but I think fictionalized is better because, even if sourced well, liberties are always taken for creative reasons and no matter how good the source material, sometimes you just have to make certain things up because no one knows what happened besides those involved.

Yeah, even though I am sure it was a pretty wild scene IRL, the script writers will punch up the "DRAMA" in certain places or big moments.

Instead of Magic doing coke with 2 strippers..... it will be changed to Magic doing coke with 2 strippers AND 2 hookers.

Hence, the phrase "coke and a smile" ...
