There’s nothing lucky about what the Lakers did two years ago hater. LeBron isn’t forcing his way out of here to play with Kyrie Irving LMAO!!! I don’t think anybody in basketball is looking to play with him. He’s a horrible person. People are running away from that franchise they’re not joining it.
I won't argue with that and every year the Warriors won the NBA title they have had luck on their side including this one. The Suns just exploded, Bucks,Nets got beat by Boston. Boston just played like shit in these Finals. yeah I agree. Not a Laker hater BTW, if you want to call me that fine. I watch them when they are on and wear Lakers hats and shirts just looking at the reality of their roster. I like watching the NBA and like certain NBA teams, Lakers are one of them.

    Well youíre not a fan.

I wouldnít say the Warriors have been lucky every year they won but theyíve had a couple good breaks yes. Theyíve also had some good teams even without Durant. Iím not going to say they havenít deserved their championships. I think thereís a fair amount of luck for any team to win a title.

I just think this was a really down year for the league. Very few special teams. In fact I donít think there were any special teams honestly.

They had a very good team, they had a very good record, and they won. The Warriors this year got every break known to mankind. The only edge for the Lakers in the bubble season was that a guy like Anthony Davis was able to stay healthy because of the break. That was the only benefit for them. You know the same benefit that every other team had.

The Nets should really try and trade Irving for some depth I would not trust that guy on the roster with a max contract. Brilliant player but just has odd shit going on with him.

I am Lakers fan just not a die hard more fair weather. It's fine though if you think I am not. I agree about this being a down year for the league.

That is ridiculous. They didn't just LUCK their way to a title 4 times. They had some FUCKIN good teams with some HOF players. GTFO with it was all luck.

Like Brett mentioned above, YES, every teams gets some breaks here or there. Warriors had just as many BAD breaks. Green suspension in 2016. Durant injury in 2019. Curry injury in 2020. Klay injury in 2021 and 2021.

This title for the Warriors is some redemption. For all the haters that said they were DEAD in 2020 and 2021 and they would never get back to the Championship level. There were plenty who wrote off the Warriors completely.

4 titles and 6 Trips to the Finals. Great run from a great team. Window is still open just enough to maybe make a run in 2023.... You never know???

Also just for Couda... I am glad Step got his Finals MVP. He deserved it. With 4 rings, MVP and Finals MVP.... Steph puts himself in that top 10 to 20 range all time. Pretty good for an undersized guard out of Davidson..lol.. Never forget, the Timberwloves took 2 PGs in the 2009 draft before Steph....

But they were dead in 2020 and 2021. The team they had in 2020 was pretty fucking pitiful dude.

I still think this year was a very poor year in the NBA and they were just in the right place this time. I donít believe the team they had this year was that good. I really donít. And I donít think the team they beat was that good. But the bottom line is itís a ring and it all counts the same.

As long as Boston didnít get their 18th title I can live with whoever won.

This was one of those years where there wasn't an elite team. I guess no one should be shocked that in a year without one that a veteran team with a tonne of finals experience pulled it off.

I think thatís exactly why they won. This is one of those years where that experience really paid off against teams that didnít have enough talent to overcome their inexperience.

You could really see it last night. The warriors looked like the best defensive team ever constructed, and they aren't that. The Celtics were just ill prepared for that spot. I don't think I've seen a finals team turn the ball over as consistently as they did last night.

Out of curiosity, I went and looked at the top 6 from 2009 again.

Blake Griffin and James Harden are obvious top picks.

The other huge bust besides Flynn was at #2. Memphis took Hasheem Thabeet (Center). Dude was 7'3" out of Connecticut. He had 3 years at UCONN, but to take him over Harden?

Evans had a few solid years in Sac. Rubio has had a few solid seasons, decent career.

DeRozen was the other guy that should have gone higher.

DeRozanís problem was that he played for USC. Theyíre never going to get the love as a basketball program. Nor should theyíve never really done anything. Had he played somewhere else he wouldíve gone higher.

If memory serves, he was the consensus #2.

Pretty funny to look up 2009 MOCK drafts.

This guy did have Harden over Thabeet. https://clipperholics.com/2009/06/18...ba-mock-draft/ "super-raw. almost no offense. he had tons of blocked shots at UConn, but the NBA bigs will kick the crap out of him. if he never develops an inside game, he could be a Shawn Bradley level disappointment. "

This one gives a couple different publications (ESPN, DraftExpress, NBAdraft.net) picks. ESPN was the closest on Curry, they had him 4th to Sac. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-final-edition
