Some cool stuff going up for auction. Alot of VH and others as well. Platinum records, backstage passes, tour books, original concert t's. FYI, this isn't my stuff, this is a legit auction house.

DLR's VHII platinum award, Ed and Mike's WCF platinum awards?

I doubt they gave those away.

I think you're right. I remember Ed's story about playing the Forum around 82 or 83, I think. His parents came to to the show and when they got home afterward the house had been broken into and all the award records stolen off the walls. These could be those.

I considered buying the DLR Acoustic, but even with a signature of authenticity, I just don't necessarily believe it's actually Dave's.

If the item's are being sold by a reputable well established auction in many instances the items are from managers, publicists ,& record company folks.

Quite often numerous authentic copies of gold & platinum record awards are issued to various folks in addition to the artists.

Even if I was a Billionaire, this kinda stuff doesn't interest me as a fan. What do we do with it. What's the point of paying for stuff like this. I don't get the whole autograph scene either.

You are smart to be cautious. Better safe than swindled.

You can buy these photo slides instead. Make poster prints suitable for framing. Hang them in your office or mancave. Good deal. Only $60 each.
