Just when you think Tampa is dead, they spring back to life....lol.... Even with Brayden Point out.

Kuch woke up also, that deke move on Ekblad then a great assist, damn....high skill.

I wouldn't count Florida out just yet. They have a great team. This "Battle of Florida" might go 7 games.

Kenny Holland is a great GM.

Not sure the concept of goaltending and defence has escaped him in Edm.

I think it is a "WAS" on the great GM deal for Holland....

Talk to most Red Wings fans..... Even after the Championships, He made so many bad moves later in his tenure. Starting about 2014. Just bad signings and bad draft picks. Steve Yzerman is still digging out of the rubble from the mess Holland made in Detroit.

I was joking to a few people last night, that Holland should have been fired after the 2nd period...lol... I am shocked McDavid doesn't pull a "Patrick Roy", and walk over the the Oilers owner...and say he is never playing another game under Holland....HAHAHA!!!

Everyone saw the Oilers goaltending was NOT good enough during the year, That had to be addressed. It wasn't.

BUT back to the game... As someone that doesn't have any rooting interest, that game was pretty damn crazy and fun to watch. When it went to 6-6, holy shit. Fuckin credit McDavid, the guy is the best player in the league. Then it was all for nothing. Fuckin brutal......

Listening to morning radio on TSN 1260 out of Edmonton today. Game 2 should be a bit more ...lower scoring...haha...

Tough loss for the Panthers last night as Tampa scores on a seemingly innocent play behind the net with 3 seconds to go in the 3rd due to a blown defensive assignment.

Great win for the Blues last night as they were able to neutralize the Avs speed and dominated the play. Going back to St. Louis tied 1-1. Ryan O'Reilly is a fucking stud, by the way. If you watched the game at all, he completely shut down Mackinnon. There wasn't any of that skating around the ozone stuff that he's known for. The Blues were able to clamp down on him and a lot of it was great individual effort from O'Reilly who just out muscled him and used some savvy positioning and stick work to turn the puck away. I'm sure Colorado is going to come back strong in game 3 after the Blues made adjustments.

DP57 had a nice game to last night. Binnington continued his excellent play/revival.

I still think Colorado will win out in the end. But I am happy that this looks now to be a good back and forth series. Really hurts the Blues with Torey Krug out though....

Don Cherry says he'll never be friends with Ron MacLean again!

Once inseparable every Saturday night during hockey season, Don Cherry and Ron MacLean aren’t friends anymore.

Cherry was fired after an anti-immigrant rant on Hockey Night in Canada’s Coaches Corner segment, on November 11, 2019, which he refused to apologize for.

MacLean did apologize though, saying the next day that Cherry’s comments were “hurtful, discriminatory… [and] flat out wrong.” The 62-year-old still works as a broadcaster for Sportsnet, which has produced Hockey Night in Canada since 2014.

Cherry said in the aftermath that he was “disappointed” in MacLean. They haven’t been friends since, despite an on-air relationship that lasted over 30 years.

Two and half years later, Cherry doesn’t think that will ever change.

“I don’t think we’ll ever be friends again,” the 88-year-old Cherry said, fighting back tears in a video posted to social media this week by Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun.

“You can’t be friends after that. You just can’t… It’s too bad… we used to have fun. It was fun. Coaches Corner was fun.”

Cherry added that he doesn’t have any “animosity” towards MacLean, but while he’s “willing to forgive,” he can’t forget.
