Default Any Ghost fans out there?

Wow! Really had to dig to find this thread...

Saw a cool metal band called Ghost on the Halloween episode of the Colbert Late Show last week.

I thought they were all done up for Halloween, but it turns out that is what they always look like.

They're from Sweden and have actually been around for several years but this is the first I've ever heard of them.

    Inside Mysterious Occult-Rock Band Ghost

I'm not really into this type of music but find these guys kind of intriguing.

Their first record, Opus Eponymous, is one of the best metal debuts of all time.

GHOST are becoming more mainstream these days, but they were more menacing
and mysterious around the first album & tour.

I saw them in September, and Papa had black hair & tight pants at one point.
    It was kind of lame.

THIS is the Ghost i love, the intro music is so creepy:

Sorry for bringing up Ghost. I just found out in another thread that they are not cool and you must be a lunatic to like them.

Colbert showed some balls by having them on the show. When's the last time you saw a band anywhere near that on CBS?

I saw that, but took no offense, considering the guy who said it wears a neon
glow half shirt and thinks Bon Jovi is state of the art.

I had no idea Colbert had them on!

Tobias Forge is actually the lead singer (Papa) and writer in Ghost, and he had several other bands.
    He is incredibly talented.

He had one band that sounded like a Swedish version of The Police (Magna carta cartel), and they were fantastic.
Then he had Subvision, a punk band, and an extreme band called Repugnant.

Actually, the new Ghost album is very good.
I just miss the mystery of the original concept, where you kind of knew nothing
    about them.

Ghost have a very melodic sense to their music, very Blue Oyster Cult & retro.

I just ordered Meliora on CD from Amazon which includes a free MP3.

Listening on my phone 1 minute after pushing order... plus I can listen in the car on the way home from work.

Yeah... I can totally hear the B.O.C. influence on the first track Deus In Absentia

Lol! Amazon music is mixing Ghost songs with Billy Gibbons solo album which I forgot I ordered last week but is in my song cloud. I was like Wow! these Ghost guys sound a lot like ZZ Top too... Haha!

Love this tune. It's like a total B.O.C. lovefest.

I love Ghost, and this tune is one of my faves from the new one.

This track has a total BOC inspired chorus, though the main riff is like an
evil version of Duran Duran's "Girls on film."

My buddy Bob just got served divorce papers on Monday so he stopped over to have a few beers and vent. I put on Ghost - Meliora and he said it was absolutely perfect music for they way he was feeling. I gave him the CD to take with him.

I was mentioning some of the other bands I hear in their music like B.O.C. and such and he said he also hears Alice In Chains. Good call Bob.

I miss my CD already but it's gone for good cause.

Wow! My buddy Bob liked the new Ghost CD that he borrowed so much that he got me a copy of Opus Eponymous while he was at the Record Den today. What a guy.

Might have to start a Ghost (B.C.) thread soon.

I definitely hear the BOC influence.
