Sunday Afternoon in the Park into One Foot Out the Door would have been epic live. I agree with a lot of the songs on this list especially top Jimmy.

No Van Halen concert should have opened or closed with a keyboard song.

    Cool. Agree to disagree.

Lol, instead of hitting the ground running, a VH concert opening with effing Right Now is like hitting the ground, tripping, falling down, and then limping.

"Could This Be Magic?" live would've been cool- like a post encore encore. Roadies breaking down the stage behind them...

Why do people think that's funny? I don't think y'all really understand how much I love that song. The band did as well.

Ffs, it was worthy to be on an album.

I can't believe Top Jimmy was never played live. If there is ONE song from 1984 that should be played live, that's it.

You can have your Jump, HFT and Panama. For me, DDL, Top Jimmy, House of Pain and I'll Wait are that album.

BTW- I did some research a few months back. Top Jimmy was a real person. His music wasn't that great, but there is plenty of info about him on the internet.

Top Jimmy wasn't played live for the sole fact that the song has 2 different tunings.

The harmonics at the beginning are in D-A-D-C-A-D
The rest of the song is in standard E-A-D-G-B-E

I suppose they could've set up a separate guitar on a stand, ala Tom Scholz for the Foreplay/Long Time acoustic bits, but my guess is Ed just didn't want to deal with it.

Because you said it would have been “epic”.

It’s a good song that would have been a good live song.

    It wouldn’t have been Kashmir.
