Dave said he and Al talk almost every day when he was on Joe Rogan. I know you probably wish it was Sam and Al, but that is not reality.

    Dave being entertaining as always.
    He always makes me smile.
Some may think he's bat shit crazy, but at least he's not boring.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

What would be great is for Al to play music again, no matter with whom.

I would love to hear one of those daily conversations between Dave and Al.

For as philosophical as Al often gets, I imagine they have some really interesting conversations.

Lol, I did always love the young, drunk Al and Dave doing the radio interviews together all the time back in the old days.

Those conversations between Ed, Al, and Dave that they filmed at Henson Studios when ADKOT came out were pretty great.

I think it's awesome that they were able to bury the hatchet after all of the bad blood over the years. I've been re-reading Van Halen Rising and, in case anybody didn't already know this, Dave auditioned for Al and Ed three times before they finally agreed to let him join the band. There was no love lost when they first met back in the early 1970s. Then there was all of the mudslinging when they parted ways in 1985. Grudges are dumb. Sometimes, age and loss lead to wisdom and perspective. It makes me happy to hear that Dave and Al are in constant communication.

Man, I know a lot of you still love the guy, and maybe it's just my age or whatever, who knows, but Dave's shtick is just so old and annoying to me at this point. It's like, we're not laughing with you anymore, bro, we're laughing AT you. He's become a total parody of himself. I'll always love the music he did with VH, but ugh, his interviews are just completely cringe to me now. Like I said though, if you still like it, and find it entertaining, more power to ya.
"One of the reasons I left Sabbath was because Van Halen was blowing us off the stage every night. It was embarrassing." -Ozzy Osbourne

"When I first heard "Runnin' With The Devil" on the radio, I was stunned and found myself dizzy, walking through my high school hallways thinking, "What was THAT?!"
Eddie Van Halen was so innovative and kicked so much ass, and David Lee Roth was for a time indisputably the Greatest Man in America.
If aliens came down and challenged us to a Battle of the Bands to decide the fate of Planet Earth, I would feel very confident putting early Van Halen forward as our champion." -Tom Morello

"A lot of bands mature, which means they get square; they start delivering messages. Hey, you got a message, use Western Union." -DLR
