    Ha-Ha! Hit the road…

If both teams play at this caliber the entire season, that’ll be the championship game. Hopefully the Browns will win the rematch!

Also, what’s the deal with Mahome’s helmet? I know he’s wearing a different design but that thing is huge! It’s like Dark Helmet big.

Should ask my son (or any college player) what they think of kickers.

    Everybody hates them.

It’s the Rodney Dangerfield position of the team..no respect.

Can't put the Raiders picture up today. Max Crosby was Ted Hendricks and Darren Waller was Dave Casper.

    Helluva a game last night.
Especially when they were shaking hands thinking it was over only to learn the guy was down at the 1-foot line. That, of course, was followed by an interception in the end zone. lol

Anyone check out the game on ESPN2 last night with Peyton and Eli, and some guests? I was wondering how that would be. I guess they're doing that every Monday night. They need to work out some of the kinks but it's a rather good idea. It's as if you're just hanging out with them while watching the game.

That was a pretty crazy game. The 4th quarter/OT was insane. Thursday and Monday night may have been 2 of the best games of the week, and the NFL got them both to a National TV Audience.

I only watched the Peyton/Eli thing for a few bit. It was ok, but they may need a play by play guy or some kind of "host" to keep things on track. Peyton was try to "Mansplain" football to Charles Barkley. Peyton also tried to do the Tony Romo deal about calling the play before it happens. Eli chimed in occasionally. Went back to the main feed.

    Monday points to ponder

You probably know this by now, but the NFL stands for "If you bet on this league, you're insane."

San Francisco led the Lions 41-17 with two minutes remaining in yesterday's season opener for both teams. Game over. If you took the 49'ers and gave the Lions 8.5 points, the bet was also over. It was 41-17 with two minutes left. There was no reason at all for the Lions to still be interested.

You know where this is going, of course...

The Lions scored to make it 41-23 with 1:53 remaining. No sense in kicking the extra point. Two points makes it a two-score game. So the Lions went for two and made it. But the 49'ers got the ball back and all they had to do was kill the clock.

Things were fine until the 49'ers fumbled the ball on 3rd down. The Lions recovered. Those who wagered on the 49'ers were now frenzied with the thought that Detroit might still keep trying, even though the game was over.

With 1:02 remaining, the Lions scored another TD. And to make it an 8-point game, they needed a successful two-point conversion. And, they got it.

Thankfully, the 49'ers held on to win the game. I mean, that's really all they care about it, right? But there were thousands of people who cared about the point spread who were miserable in the aftermath of that 4th quarter Detroit uprising. And, yes, there were folks -- this writer included -- who were thrilled with the bizarre turn of events.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. I forget who said that. Shakespeare? Blake? Sartre? Flintstone? No matter the author, it's true.

What a way to kick-off the 2021 NFL season. With one of the all-time bad beats.
The 49ers game was just a shit show in the 4th quarter. It was so strange, that it couldn't have been planned. Just a combination of playing prevent defense, then some very strange turnovers. The onside kick went to the 49ers best HANDS guy, Kittle just got a crazy bounce off the turn. The fumble, fuck, 49er receiver just had to go down, trying to get yards he didn't even need. Lack of discipline. Took their foot off the gas.

49ers had 2 bad injuries, similar to last season in week #1. RB R Mossert is going to miss at least 8 Weeks.

CB Jason Verrett is done for the season, ACL...fuck!! 49ers are currently going through the Waiver Wire and Unsigned CBS, they need a lot of secondary help now.

There's two Skins players I really liked and Billy was one of them and the other was Pat Fischer. Both probably would never even make todays NFL in terms of size or speed and Billy had worse form then Lamar Jackson. But both would kill you to win a football game. Ah the good ole days of the NFL.
