Reckless Fable met him at a hotel in San Francisco. 2015 I think.

He's told the story before but RF was chilling and all of a sudden Al walks past him and asks RF where the pool was . I think RF may have even had a VH shirt on that's why. They had a few words and Al asked him if he was coming to the show.

That shit will NEVER happen to me.

Maybe you'll run into him at the Bunny Ranch?

Funny you mention standing in line at Disneyland.

Early 90’s. Disneyworld. Parents and I were in line for SplashMountain and there was an entourage about 5 feet in front of us surrounding a some guy with black hair, a red shirt and a black mask covering most of his face. The guy was Michael Jackson.

Only memory I have is what he was wearing and how fucking white he was.

Ed pointed me out and talked to me at the 5 Star in 04. One of the highlights of my life, for sure.

That's an interesting combo. Were they together?

I've met Liam Gallagher & Gordie Howe. It was NOT at the same time lol.

Met Sammy in Cabo and St. Martin. That's the extent of my meeting anyone from the VH world.

Although I did make out with the girl who went to the Senior Prom with Gary Cherone. LOL

Underrated: Balance. Personally it’s never worn on me. Always makes me wish we got a followup.

Overrated: Not one. To say any of the first six are overrated is blasphemy to me. You can’t overrated those. With Sam only 5150 sold HUGE numbers and it deserved it. Hate WCTBL, and the dislike for LWI I understand, although I like that well crafted and sung tune. WCTBL was a huge disappointment as the first released song, but the album can’t be overrated based on one or two songs in my opinion.

Love, like or hate what came out in their first tenures with Dave and Sam they were great records even if one of the era’s isn’t your cup of tee. Criticism and overrated talk of that band and the records doesn’t rationally exist until VHIII.

Individual songs on those great record can reasonably be argued as overrated (Example: WIL and there are some skips on the first 6) I’ll wait was not beloved as a great VH tune when that record came out. Lots of people were thinking WTF? But it’s a joke to argue it makes 1984 overrated.

    My opinion…

Pretty much same here, except for She’s The Woman. Closest Dave sounds pre 1985 and the grove on the tune is just phenomenal. Reminds me of Rush’s Closer To The Heart in that it should have been longer. Although loved Ed’s playing and I don’t dislike any of the songs. Just not grabbed by the record the same way the others do.
