I like CSLY, but I would've shuffled it in the track list. Crossing Over should have definitely been on the album, but it's a closer for Side A or Side B.

For me, Can't Stop Lovin' You is the most cringe inducing song in their catalog.

Dancing in the Streets get that award in the Dave era.

The Linkers (Hey Brett, have jerseys made that look like the Lakers that say Linkers.) celebrate, impugn, debate, and come to stalemates on every Van Halen song we can get our hands on. I bet if any of us were in a conversation with a lay-Van Halen fan and they insulted our least favorite Van Halen song, we would whup their ass in a New York minute for a country mile.

Yeah not a fan of CSLY. Although I think Ed has a cool guitar tone going.

Not that I love Not Enough but it is far superior.

Yeah, I like the "jangle" he has on the opening chords, and I like the guitar solo, but that's about it.

I don’t hate CSLY as much as some, but I don’t particularly seek it out either. It’s probably the most formulaic song in their catalog. Main riff is pretty standard fare. Over the chorus, you can sing “every breath you take” and it fits.

The band plays the song very well as they always did, so it’s not a matter of skill. Guitar tones are great. It’s just not a very original song.

That song seems to elicit some strong reactions. I don't necessarily think formulaic is a bad thing. Then again I'm secure enough in my manhood to love the song.

I don't think you are very secure in your manhood at all if people not liking you favorite love ballad garners up so many defensive posts.

You don't like Everybody Wants Some, and no one gives a shit that you don't.

Some bands use a formula, and others create the formula.

I know you said your mom liked CSLY so I get why you like the tune.
