    Sometimes, sadly, people aren't recognized for their talents until after they die. Sure, we all know Eddie was one of the greatest players on the planet, but after he died, it seemed like everyone finally came out of the woodwork to comment on how great and innovative he was. I'm like, "Hey, where have you been?" I never once heard Tom Morello talk about how much Eddie influenced him. And now of course, Morello is essentially saying Eddie was everything.

    This has happened throughout history. Vincent Van Gogh was considered a failure during his lifetime and eventually committed suicide. After Van Gogh died, his work was reevaluated and is now considered one of the most important painters of all time.

    I wish more people would understand how great Alex Van Halen is now...you know, while he's still alive. He is vastly underrated.
