looks like a fun show, I know others will nitpick it but I think they sounded really good from what I've heard (haven't listened to all the vids yet)

The Sammy solo stuff sounds great.

The VH tunes to me just don't sound that good, but Sam sounds great on all of it.

I really think Sammy needs a guitar player that plays more like Eddie.

Only video I watched fully was Good Enough. Because it sounded fucking awesome.

The rest just sounded like detuned shlack.

This show took place at a full-sized shed in the 10 million population Chicagoland area.

I wonder how many people Sammy was able to draw here.

He can keep Vic, but there’s no reason he can’t ADD IN a Pete Thorn type to fill in the sound and the high-level technical parts.

Damn. The level at which Sammy can still perform at, at 73 years old, is a sight to behold! It has nothing to do with "which singer is best." It's just a miracle of nature! It's becoming a physical anomaly at this point. How does he do it? Shouldn't they analyze his DNA, to benefit medical science or something?!!?

He took care of his voice.

Genetics is a big part of it, people age differently, but him not smoking AND using proper signing techniques prolonged his vocal career.

He’s taken care of his voice and he’s tuning every song down to the Marianas Trench.

It’s not really that much of a shock.

Sam and Mike sound great. I love their bond and I'm stoked at the level they're performing at.

Vic's solo on Runaround was good stuff, but the main riff was kinda butchered? Solo was close enough to the original while throwing him some of his own flavor. I tend to agree that if they're going to play VH tunes they should have somebody playing it properly. But then I look at the crowd and think "none of these people have heard the Good Enough solo 436 times like I have" and realize it probably doesn't even matter to 95% of attendees. Then the other 5% of us can just complain about it on the Links.
