Talking Inside with Paulo Baron and Regis Tadeu - June 2021 Sammy Hagar

This interview deserves inspired, respectful debate from this entire community. Sam says a lot of shit... about a lot of shit.

    Everybody welcome.

Me myself and I think Sam and a ghostwriter are throwing together a new book about... Sam.

I really have nothing good to say about Sam and that interview, so I am going to desist.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Since you asked, 47. Sam is a classless insecure POS and I'm extremely happy that he never shared a stage with Ed and Al after 2004. He didn't deserve that opportunity, and I'm grateful that the one and only true frontman for the Mighty Van Halen was with the band at the end. Fuck Sam. How's that for inspired and.... respectful?

Oh, and Sam has nothing to talk about Dave's voice at this point, because all of his shows this spring with the Circle Jerk he has sounded and looked like absolute shiiiit. I'm half convinced the only reason they invited Vince Neil up onstage to sing a song was to simply make Sam look thinner.

I really don't want to watch this interview. What has Sam said about Dave this time?

I watched some of that and just could not listen anymore......he's all over the place. As far as his residency I'm not flying to Vegas. Now 10-15 yrs ago hell yes. And as JD said his voice has been heading south in the videos I have seen since the lockdown. I mean jeeze he's pushing 75 I guess some nights he may sound better?

He still sounds fine, but Vic is just not worth paying $100+ to see on guitar. The Circle is just a really good cover band, with an average guitarist.

Jedi and others on here can play circles around Vic.

Sam sounds like shit. Actually I should rephrase that. He sounds fine if you like the guy and are a fan, just like I could overlook Dave's shortcomings, especially with the 3 Halens blazing away behind him. But if you can't stand him anymore, coupled with the Butcher on guitar, its virtually impossible to ignore the obvious vocal issues.

Another thing, I think it has to be Vic that is throwing Jason off behind the kit. Every video I watch of Humans Being they are both looking back n forth at each other, Jason trying to count in on the hi hat while Vic is fumbling his way through the intro, and they just can't get on the same page. And Jason sounds off on other tunes, too. But then I'll watch a video like the one edwardv posted in the drumming thread, of him soundchecking by himself before a Circle gig and he is playing along with a recording of Trampled Under Foot. I think, now THIS is the badass drummer Jason Bonham has always been.

Vic was just in the right place at the right time so was Mona. My guess is he is very affordable and that keeps him around. Jason and Mike not so affordable. Another reason not to buy a plane ticket and sit 6 hrs or have to connect and be delayed. Maybe if I had some hot 60 yr old lady PM me here with pics I could be persuaded lol.

With the shit going down on planes these days, you have no guarantee of getting to your destination, or on time...

I think they need to start having trained attach dogs on flights. But then, who would clean up the blood??

This interview is truly odd even for Sam... who can never not run his mouth anyway. Even when he's trying to compliment Joe it comes of kind of slimy. Is slimy a good word? I mean... how good does he really know some of these guys? I don't know what to call it... maybe his head is getting too big... even for rock and roll.

+ He's doing that thing again where he dangles CF because he might feel ready now.

Sam's got a lot of irons in a lot of fires and it seems like a great life... but it's turning into a blowhard tool.

Yeah, I thought the compliment to Joe was kind of backhanded too.

Not sure what's going on with Sam, he's in a position in life that he could be positive about everyone, even DLR, and people would think more of him for it, not less.

For some reason, he just can't let his perceived slights from his years in Van Halen go.

Sammy has tried and tried to talk Vic up, but Vic is disappointing especially when trying to play Van Halen.

I think I've only seen Jedi and Brett play amongst linkers and Vic can't hold a candle to their skills on guitar.
