This was used by MTV Europe/Raw tv shows and it was passed off as their own footage.

    27 years ago already. Jeez.

This is great, thanks for sharing. I loved Ed's appearance during this time. So f**king cool.

I got this on a van halen rarities VHS tape back in about 98. My initial reaction was that they weren't' getting along at all when they taped this. I just got a really strange vibe from it. Same with the radio album premier for Balance. just seemed off.

Sadly Ed Leffler passed, that was the end of the Sammy era, Ray Danniels destroyed that band.

I would punch a few people for that Music Man guitar.

I get why Ed sought his fortunes elsewhere, guitar wise, but he never played a finer instrument. And I absolutely love my Wolfgang. But those EBMMs were, and still are, in a league of their own.

I loved seeing Sherman and a very young Wolfgang running around the drive way...

I agree and I got the tape after Sam was booted from the band, the thing that kind of shocked me was how fast everything went down. I have audio of the last show of the RHRN tour and they're great. Great show, sounded like everyone in the band was having a great time. there was also an interview in one of the guitar mags (article was titled "Sammy Drills Eddie") that was done on the last day of the tour, it was basically Sam interviewing Ed but a lot of the interview was how much they got along etc.......everything went down so fast.

I agree 100%. The WGs are great but the EBMMs have that mojo, I cannot explain it but its there for sure.

I have an amber-topped '93 blessed with a few licks by Edward, himself. I got it new in 94. They really are such great guitars.

Some of you must have never played the mid 80’s Kramer’s then.

I've played them. I just don't care for them aesthetically. The only Kramers I ever liked were Ed's because they looked so damn cool. The 5150...come on. Cool as can be. But, Kramer is just such a cliché 80s guitar to me. Even back then I didn't care for them. I prefer the more classic look and feel in a guitar. I get why people like them. They just aren't my thing.
