You aren't, but we're talking about Mike & Sammy here; they live to please fans. I'd give them some time before making a final judgement.

On the other hand, we don't know the extent to which they're holding back, lest they step on Al's toes.

I Want Some Action was one of the first unreleased Van Halen songs I remember hearing in the very early days of Napster/Limewire/Bearshare/etc.

I love hearing all of the unreleased, in development, live stuff, etc. I wonder how Alex and Wolf feel about it though and who has the rights to what. Also, may have wanted to think through the handle a little bit

Sammy posted the some of the Andrew Bennett studio footage (2004) on the Van hagar other half facebook and IG. It is the anniversary of the BOBW release or something...

Does Sammy not know about the whole Lawsuit vs Bennett?? Andrew Bennett even posted on the IG comments just now...lol...

Yesterday was the anniversary of 'The Best of Both Worlds'!
Sammy: It was interesting going back in the studio with Van Halen after all those years and creating new music for every package of the greatest hits. This kind of thing is what broke the band up the first time in 95. I was against doing a greatest hits of any kind and wanted to make a new record. That never got to happen, and this go around it didn't either. My favorite track hands-down is "Up for Breakfast" - it was fun writing and singing those lyrics. Makes me think we should add that to the Circle set list. Looking back now,
I really wish we would've made a whole new record.

Mike: As this was all happening, I was pretty much estranged from the band and the Van Halen brothers. I remember Sammy meeting with Alex, and from there talks of a reunion started. After negotiating and me pretty much giving up all my claims to anything Van Halen, I was back in and ended up coming into the studio to sing the backgrounds on three songs that were recorded, "It’s About Time" being one of them. Then we started preparing for what would be the 2004 reunion tour...

    Who had a worse 2004?

Van Halen with those 3 horrible new songs and that debacle of a tour or the Yankees becoming the only team in MLB history to blow a 3-0 lead in the postseason?

I wasn't happy with the St. Louis Cardinals getting swept in the World Series.

Sammy and Mike made the 2004 tour watchable. It really sucked seeing Eddie like that.

AB and Sammy have worked together post VH, so perhaps he knows?

One thing Iím noticing is theyíre not crediting anybody on the videos theyíre posting. Theyíre pulling these videos from somewhere and itís not Sam and Mikeís personal vaults because that IAT video is on YT.

The people who initially made or posted these videos should be getting credited much like Jedi was doing on his page.

Sam should pass on by the 2004 reunion tour and BOBW songs and pretend they didn't happen.

    This.

Wasnít he just apologizing profusely for writing his book and putting the 2004 stuff in there?

I cannot for the life of me figure out why heíd post a video from that period of the band, on a page that is supposed to be honouring and cherishing the legacy of his and Mikeís time in that band with Ed, who is now dead, and Al.

I just canít figure it out. You have 10 years of greatness to draw from. Donít post anything from 2004 unless itís a picture of you and Ed smiling together. And certainly donít and in response to comments from people who are saying how fucked up Ed was on the tour and how badly Mike was treated.

Thatís it. It just looks shitty. Not criminal. But just shitty.

Agree. I was baffled by it too. 86 to 96 are the years he should be focusing on.

I don't get Sam and Mike going anywhere near the 2004 debacle. I understand that feelings were hurt and trusts were betrayed. Sam and Mike have the right to feel how they feel, but nobody wants to read about the bullshit that was 2004. The three songs and the tour were a disaster because one member--the key man--was sick, broken, lost, and angry. I don't want to hear about that part of Ed's life anymore. SAM and MIKE, please, please, please focus your thoughts on the best of times and choose to represent the best of the Van Hagar era on @vanhagarotherhalf.
    I miss Eddie Van Halen.

Has anyone thought, maybe Sammy has some mental deterioration going on?!?!
The guy is almost 74 yrs old.
Some men that age are already dead or in a nursing home. He looks great for his age but man I think he might have some issues upstairs. For god sakes , heís a grandpa . Heís obviously lost a step or two. Cut him a break .
