Mammoth WVH - Debut Album Release Thread!

Alrighty guys. My digital download is purchased, my signed physical CD gets here this weekend, and I got a copy early.

Man. The album as a whole is really impressive. It spans from sludgy riffing bangers to atmospheric rockers. I was worried that we weren't going to get much more in terms of ripping leads, but tunes like Mr. Ed, Resolve and You'll Be The One really deliver on that front. The last track, Stone, is a kinda proggy tune with epic vibes.

I'm only one listen through, and I'm listening while working, but I can tell is a really fantastic album as a whole. Wolf is a really talented songwriter in terms of melody and composition. The arrangements are great and the mix/production is fire. I'm stoked to dig into each of these tunes more.

I thought it dropped tomorrow. Where did you purchase the digital download. I listened to Mr. Ed on YouTube and I dig it.

...fighting the urge to prematurely check out any leaked tracks on YT...saving the remaining 9 songs for when I listen to my CD.

Same... waiting for my CD. Been pretty much avoiding everything up till now. I think I get the MP3 on Amazon tomorrow with the CD purchase... might listen then after work with some beers and bong hits!

It sounds good. How many songs have guitar solos in them on the album?

FedEx just dropped off my vinyl copy of the album. I will listen to it later today as I am very anxious to hear the rest of songs that had not yet been released.

Probably 4-5 more than what we've heard? Mr. Ed, Resolve and You'll Be The One are the only titles I can remember that I noted solos on. I'd have to take notes while I listen.

Just went to Apple Music to see if it’s available yet, it’s not yet (only the songs that have already been dropped). But I noticed the Album / CD graphic on Apple Music is a gif that has the car lights flashing, and some smoke and or dust blowing in the wind. Pretty cool, I’ve not seen another Album on Apple Music have movement to it.

I am halfway through the album now, and I'll echo what Jedi covered in his first post just based on hearing this much of it. I am even more impressed now, and I had liked all the songs that had been previously released. These other songs that are new to me today are at least as good, if not better, than those that came out over the last few months. I have not heard a dud song yet, and there is more diversity in the songs than I anticipated.
