Default Who was Van Halen's first accountant?

Van Halen's first account was mentioned in an interview from 2012 I think. Ed said their first accountant ripped the guys off and bleeped out his name. What was his name? I watched it on YouTube - (Roth Interviews Eddie & Alex Van Halen - Part 2)

Not on topic, but I loved those interviews. Just the three of them chatting away. Could listen to them for hours talkin' about the old times.

Wish there were more of those vids. THAT was how the Van Halen story should've been told. Would've been complete with Mike, of course, but those guys could have told the official story right up to the break-up. Put the rumors and B.S. to rest and clear the air. No more crap docs, just the real deal.

Anyway, not sure who their 1st accountant was...lol

I agree that these interviews are awesome to watch....My biggest take away in viewing this particular one years now after I first viewed it is how sad that Ed's no longer with us.

Secondly, and this relates to my first point, is that there is genuine respect and appreciation and fondness between all these guys....Despite all the shit that's gone down between them, it's easy to see and hear their affection for one another. That is certainly NOT sad to view.

    Truth.

When Eddie, in response to Alex about the McDonalds/Starbucks thing in this interview or another...."It's a property made out of burgers?" or something to that effect.
Its a light mix of wit, sarcasm, and something to fuck with your brother.
I have a brother, we always do it.

No doubt the stories about them fighting are true. Any guys with brothers know, there is a period in your life where all you is fight, physically and verbally. You get over it, as men, and the bond deepens.

But you could tell, at this point in life, I think they had matured and wised up to many things, between themselves and with others.

This kind of interview WITH EVERYONE would have been amazing. Imagine and interview with Alex and Ed talking to Wolfgang about the whole process of the album, tours, and music in general? Comparing the new way of doing things with how they did it?

Having interviews with Sammy? Gary even?

Amongst men, even stories shared for amusement between enemies rekindles what was lost in a fight.

Default Who was Van Halen's first accountant?

I know who their accountants were in 1995 because they were actually related to my aunt (she’s not my blood aunt). It’s her nephew’s firm that handled them then which is how I got to go backstage for a meet and greet on the Balance tour. I’ve told the story before how I had no idea that’s what we were going to be able to do. I just thought we were getting free food until the band walked in.

Interesting. I got backstage three times on the VHIII tour (once in KC and back-to-back nights in Vegas at the Joint) via a college friend and his boss who ran the mortgages for EVH, Scotty Ross and some others in the camp. It was awesome, just wish it would have been during the Dave or Sam era (but Gary was very cool)!

I don't get the whole beating the shit out of each other. Maybe it's because they were close in age but why would brothers want to take it to that level? I have 3 older brothers and it never once occurred to us to physically fight each other over ANYTHING.

Plus my mom would have whipped all their asses for even thinking to put a hand on the baby.

Sometimes these connections come in handy.

And I wish Sam was in the band somehow now. My mom rekindled her high school friendship with one of Sammy’s sisters maybe 15 years ago. I’d fucking be “in” now.
