Fate Of Nations turned out to be a really good album. But back in 93 or whatever year it was, before you could readily own any song you wanted, I actually bought that cd simply because I had kept hearing 29 Palms on the radio and I really LOVED that tune lol.

I miss those days, when you would buy a CD or cassette for a song or two, and would discover all these great deep cuts that would never get played on the radio. The mystery of what would be on an artist's full album was a fun anticipation that pretty much no longer exists anymore.

This is why we made mix tapes and took them camping with dirt bikes, beef, beer, whiskey and fire.

Lol, yes. Mix tapes! And a cassette deck in the car that you had to wedge a folded up wad of paper into just to get the cassettes to play.

Can't Stop Lovin' You is easily one of the most cookie-cutter songs in the entire VH catalog. I wouldn't be surprised if Ed and Sam wrote the music and lyrics in less than an hour.

Big Log is a far superior song with some really cool chords that aren't often used in rock music. It just has this cool vibe that makes me think of being in a car on the open road.

When was the last time Can't Stop Lovin' You was played on classic rock radio?

Fuck! the car deck, boom box, walkman stories could fill a book. Bring extra batteries.

CSLY sounds like a song that Mothers would listen to, while having a wine and cookie baking night.

Big Log sounds like a song that would kick off an old, sweaty swingers’ evening in Pompano Beach.

For years I couldn't listen to the outro to So This Is Love without thinking something bad was going to happen, even after I got cds, because it was at that moment that a tape deck ate my WACF/FW double cassette. Aaarghhh!

Dire Straits Bothers in Arms. Walk of Life had a 20 second 'crinkle moment' after an eating. It never happened again but I'd always wait for it to crash again at that moment... distortion... distortion... whew! it made it.

Heard it the other day along with Right Now. I have also heard two of wolf’s songs but not on the same station. Distance. Being one of them several times.

Right Now is another VH tune that just doesn't do much for me. I'm sure your mileage varies.

Plant has a stellar solo career, but one of his very coolest tunes unexpectedly dropped an anchor on everything after... maybe?
