I know I'm an outlier in that The Full Bug will always be my least loved of the four great originals on DD. To me, it is the worst of the three double bass shuffles of the Dave era, trailing well behind both I'm The One and HFT.

    But that intro!
    Whew.
Beauty is life when life unveils
    her holy face.

But you are life and you
    are the veil.

Beauty is eternity gazing at itself
    in a mirror.

    But you are eternity
    and you are the mirror.

Another I will never understand the disdain for is Sucker In A 3 Piece. It blazes. And if we are going to knock it for sounding like Panama, which it really doesn't that much even though numerous people like to say it, than SOI sounds more like a HFT/ITO wannabe than Sucker does a Panama wannabe.

Well, it is lesser than ITO and HFT, but it still kicks ass. For me, honestly, it mainly has to do with Al didn't seem to put as much effort into his recorded parts on DD, which is in keeping the rushed unplanned nature of the album. Listen to any and every recording from the DD tour and Al is flying all over his kit, playing so much more creatively on the DD tunes live than what he did on the album.

this was so much easier on the Sammy albums (removing covers is part of the reason)

    VHI - Little Dreamer
    VHII - DOA
    WACF - Loss of Control
FW - Push Comes to Shove
DD - Hang'em High (this was really hard)
    1984 - I'll Wait
    5150 - Inside
    OU812 - Sucker in a 3 Piece
    F.U.C.K - Spanked
    Balance - Big Fat Money
VHIII - How Many Say I
    ADKOT - Honeybabysweetiedoll

lyrics kill that tune for me. Most of my worst song picks for Sam (hell all of them) were due to the lack of effort on the lyrics.

Straight on up to her lunch pail/dont want to break her in half is the only outrageously "standard Sam dumb" parts. The rest I'm ok with and the vocal melodies, his delivery, and the chorus are all great IMO. SOI has much much worse lyrical felonies and lack of effort I'd say.

It is certainly #2 behind the Feelin solo from the Sam era for me. Vintage Ed.

This is gonna sound dumb by i almost forget SOI has lyrics. I think of it as an instrumental with great background vocals.

The music blazes on both tunes for sure.

Both could have used some effort from the lyricist. SOI is more fun for me. I like fun tunes.

Choices off of VHII are hilarious, that thing is smoking from start to finish, the "worst" song on that one is better than many bands best song. "You're No Good" is a cover, and a really good one. Throw that out, good luck finding a bad song on that whole record.

To me, VII, WACF, & FW are pretty much perfect albums. Not one track that isn't great on the VH Trinity of Greatness.
