good question

first the films have to be re-scanned which creates a "Prep" file
next you take that file and export it to a storage drive
we do Numbered Image Sequences
next step will be to "Photoshop" all 3600 frames per 50ft of film x approx 300 reels
although we no longer use the PS brand
then after converting the cleaned NIS files to .mov Uncompressed masters
the Sync/Editing/Stabilization can begin using FCP and or DaVinci
finally we "Deliver"(I love that description as opposed to "share" or "export") a Uncompressed .mov master which can be compressed to a Apple Pro-Res BD-R-MDisc or whatever
then I figure out what the hell to do with them..
a massive amount of work for a crew of people which we dont have so it will be a while..if I live long enough..
