VOX Valvetronix VT20X

Just picked up a VOX Valvetronix VT20X. Seems pretty cool so far, still getting used to it. I installed the “Tone Room” app and there are some cool options there, they have an “Unchained” option, sounds decent, but not exactly like the album.

Curious if anyone has a VOX Valvetronix VT20X, or played one, and was able to get some nice Brown Sound VH tones out of it.

But I bought a little Fender Super Champ head and 1x12 and it sounds remarkably like my 5150 111 Stealth

I tried the Vox several years ago and I went with the Yamaha THR10x. I just thought it was more of the hard rock sounds I liked.

I agree, I have a THR10X too, and nothing comes close to the Great tones it delivers from a practice amp perspective.
I thought I would give this VOX a try, and see what it can do.

I had a 1st gen valvetronix 1x10. It had a gain, volume & master volume setting.

If I put it on the Plexi setting & cranked everything & used the master as my main volume (AKA variac) I got a killer EVH old school tone & even used that thing against a drummer & 4x12 bass cab when my 5150ii hiccuped at a show. I loved that amp! (until it died because I was constantly overriding it)
