You can't compare Zeppelin the GOAT to VH. One is a baby boomer darling. The other is not.

VH is all about the BG vocals and sing along.

I would say Led Zeppelin had at least one epic tune on every album:

    How Many More Times
    Whole Lotta Love
    Since I've Been Loving You
    Stairway To Heaven
    The Rain Song
    Kashmir
    Achilles Last Stand
    Carouselambra

Van Halen didn't write those types of songs. IMO, In A Simple Rhyme and Hear About It Later are the closest things to epics in their catalog.
"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"The truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth" - Todd Wagner

"Women and Children First ... The REAL Van Halen III"

They are but VH on the radio is gonna be the big chorus BG vocals so that rule doesn't apply to Zeppelin. Zeppelin is in another category that VH never enjoyed unfortunately.

IASR has no hook "identifiable" to the masses that say Panama has..

I'm pretty sure Led Zeppelin and Van Halen are the two most played artists on classic rock radio.

I can think of a few others c'mon.

    The Who
    The Beatles
    The Doobie Brothers
    The Eagles

    The list goes on.

    Feels So Good!

I know people might disagree with me, and that's fine. But it does not come off as a paint-by-numbers pop song at all to me. It is more musically complex than it seems at first listen, with several key changes among other things. Al's drumming is absolutely killer, and so is the guitar solo and solo section as a whole. I even like the keyboard sound and Sam's lyrics.

I love this song and do not apologize for it

To me, FSG is one of the most well-crafted pop songs of all-time.

I love it too. It was a hit song & they made a video for it & they had it on their 2nd Greatest Hits album. It is a shame they never played it live though.

That rule doesn't apply to Zeppelin because they could never come up with those kind of vocal harmonies.

Lol, and IASR has some of the greatest harmonies VH ever did. And you're still wrong about it not having a hook.

Iíve always liked Feel So Good. Never gets the love that WCTBL gets, for some reason.

To me itís a greatly superior song.

I think Chris means it doesnít have a chorus hook like other VH songs.

The song definitely has hooks though. Same with Little Guitars. Doesnít really have a chorus but the song has hooks.

I still disagree. The chorus is great on IASR.

WCTBL blows. Always has, always will. Never a big fan of FSG but in recent months I've come to appreciate aspects of it more.
