They were supposed to kick off their 2020 tour in West Palm, which I would've absolutely gone too. I'm essentially between Key West and Orlando...not sure I could swing either show at this point.

Plus he doesn't have to "contend" with Vic like he would with Satch. Vic's identity is Sam's guitarist and will play what he is asked, when he is asked, and where he is asked.

That doesn't really reflect well of Sam, if true.

I'm happy to see some shows being planned for Sammy and the boys.

At this point, though, I actually think I'm more interested in seeing Wolf and his band.

    Me too.

Sam live as a solo act (and DLR too) does little for me at this point. I'll go see them if it is uber convenient to do so, but I am not going out of my way or breaking my pocket book to do so.

All for new content from Sam and DLR. Enjoyed Sam's last solo album, hoping DLR releases his John 5 album, so, I am still interested in them as artists.

But I don't need to hear and see guys live that are shells of their former selves sing detuned versions of songs written forty years ago for the 20th time.

And that is not meant as a dig to anyone that does. More power to you if you do.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

A man's rights rests in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box

I was just about to post that I had never seen DLR or Sammy solo and then I remembered I attended the Sam & Dave tour in 2002. That shows you how memorable it was.

Iíve seen VH close to 80 times, and I have never seen a single solo Dave or Sam show, accept 1 Sam and Dave show in Akron due to interest around the media mayhem surrounding it

    Zero interest.

Dave just needs to get in touch with Steve, Billy and Gregg.

    Get that band back together.

Never will happen but what I would like to see Sammy do (Dave can do it but likely doesn't have the connections) is to do a few celebration shows honoring Eddie and his music. Maybe do a few shows or even one show where some name guitarists play with him instead of Vic. For example, have Nuno play a show with Sammy. Then maybe Vai, Satch, Paul Gilbert, Dweezil, etc

While I don't like Vic, he is loyal but I also think due to Sam's age, it would be just a cool way for us to hear a different version of his catalog of VH songs. Doesn't have to be a whole tour. Just maybe 5-5 shows,

Saw Dave solo in '91--Lil Ain't Enough tour. Then the Sam & Dave tour.
Sammy solo, I've seen a bunch of times (8-9x) post-VH, including seeing a show and meeting him in Cabo back in '98. He even poured CW tequila into our cups from the stage. LOL What a great night!
And, not that it counts, but 2x with Chickenfoot.
