Curious to know where you saw DLR in '91. He had to cancel a good chunk of his US Tour. He still did really well internationally, but yeah, in the US his solo career was definitely waning (at least in popularity).

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Not sure of the year, just going by when the album came out, but I believe it was '91. I saw him at Lake Compounce in Bristol, CT.

    Was it well attended?

Looking up the stats, that tour did better than I remembered and is reported. 38 dates in the US and 35 international. Maybe he had to cancel some spots due to low ticket sales, but he was on the road from February thru August.

Looks like a Tuesday and Wednesday at St Augustine. Don't these people know I can't go on work night? (Of course if this was VH I would go on a work night)

Looks like they are still have pods of tickets instead of just selling all the seats. Not being political here just stating the facts. In May UFC is at Jacksonville at full capacity indoors (15k people). Since this is June they most likely could have sold all the seats. They are starting sell all seats to concerts down here.
    Right here I say....

Obviously my memory has faded a bit on the event, but I don't believe it was well-attended. Probably explains why he was playing Lake Compounce. It was clear he was losing steam at that point.

I just remembered that Extreme opened up for him! How 'bout that?

I don't think the US leg of his tour was.

I once watched a video bootleg of one of his shows in Paris from that tour, and the place was packed. Maybe people thought he was David Hasselhoff when he was touring Europe.
