I don’t remember who was pitching in that game, but I’ll bet you anything it was Scherzer at home. There’s no way the Dodgers were going to be favored over that no matter who was pitching for them.
Look I don't know how vegas works, but i know a shitty ball club when i see one and the Dodgers should not of been favored over anyone when they went like 3-15 this year

Iím pretty sure the Dodgers arenít a shitty team dude. We might not be happy with how theyíre playing right now but they are far from shitty. They still have the second-best record in baseball despite that 3-15 stretch. There are very few teams that could recover from that.

They were shitty during that stretch that is for sure. All I'm saying.

And I can't wait to get back Bellinger and all his 1 home runs on the season. Dude needs to lay off the weed.

Arizona, now that is a shitty team. And the Dodgers get to play them 12 more times. Things could be much worse for LA. Jeez.

Like Brett said, you have the 2nd best record in baseball. You went through a rough patch in the first 1/3 of the season. You're only in 2nd place because, by most accounts, the Giants are having a 'fluke' season right now--although I say good for them. It's always good to see a team overachieve, except when it's Boston.
Injuries affect every team, not just the deep-benched Dodgers.

Fans of other teams have much more to complain about...trust me.

If you look at the Diamondbacks lineup, it isn't that bad.

Their pitching staff however, is horseshit.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Yesterday, the 21st, they won their 2nd game in June. And only their 7th since April ended, at which time they were 2 games over .500. Let's reiterate that--they've lost 41 of their last 48 games. Wow.
In less than 3 full months of play they have a 13-game losing streak and a 17-game losing streak.

    Pitiful.

On a brighter note, MLB's #1 prospect will be making his debut tonight for TB.

Wander Franco got the call up. He should be an entertaining talent for many years to come. The Rays could certainly use the help right now. Hopefully he doesn't help them too much.

Last time I checked, Arizona had scored more runs on the season then the Mets, Brewers, Phillies , Stl.

Hell two of those teams have been in first place. Odd

But yes, the pitching is dreadful

He certainly delivered in his debut. 2-4 with a 3-R HR, 2B and an impressive BB in his first AB. Man, they weren't kidding about his quick bat.

Girardi had Scherzer 'inspected' in the middle of an inning. What a fiasco. Loved Max's reaction, he was obviously frustrated but it was comical--he threw his hat and glove on the ground and unbuckled his belt.

Saw in the Yankee game they're also checking the catchers, Salvador Perez got a quick check of his mitt. I guess they could act as an accomplice.

Like Scherzer said last night, you'd have to be a fool to use something now. We're just waiting to see who that first fool is going to be.

    Girardi is lying, sorry.

The third time was pure gamesmanship, Max was dealing and the Phillies had no answer for him, and Girardi was trying to mess with him.

I was wondering if this tactic would be used as a way to "ice" the pitcher, if you will. I'm sure this won't be the last time something like this happens.

Girardi said he would never do such a thing unless he felt it was something obvious. Max kept going to his hair to get some sweat to help with the grip. Girardi thought that was suspicious. Utterly ridiculous. At least we got some entertainment out of it. Joe looked like a fool.

Spin rate #s are in.... both Max and G Cole were down with no cheating sticky grip.....

    @Travis_Sawchik
Big spin rate drops for Gerrit Cole and Scherzer tonight. Cole at lowest levels since 2017, his final year in Pittsburgh. Scherzer well below average rates of recent seasons.
