CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

Oh yes the poor Cardinals. If only they had some championships and some success. Puhlease dude with this.

Unfortunately like Iíve said about 100 times on here, the Dodgers, despite being a far better team than the Cardinals, can easily lose one game and itís over.

It means very little that the Dodgers will be so much better than the Cardinals in the standings because itís the same stupid one game for both of them. You reward Cardinals for playing well for what 3-4 weeks and punish the Dodger for a vastly superior season basically. Anyway I digress. Change the fucking rule.

The Giants are in a great position. They actually have an easier schedule and are already ahead. Itís very likely that they will win the division, not the Dodgers.

Yep. The Dodgers would probably have to go 7-2 in their last 9 games to even force a tie with the Giants. I hope I'm wrong.

since MLB is so big on bastardizing the game with things like interleague play and designated hitters and moving teams from one league to the other, maybe they should make one more change and introduce flexible scheduling where if two teams in a division are within 2 games of each other for the lead, they get rescheduled to play each other, so next weekend, if the standings hold, instead of Giants-Padres and Dodgers-Brewers they would flex it to Giants-Dodgers and Padres-Brewers. Don't ask me what happens if three or more teams are within 2 games of each other for the lead - I haven't thought it that far out!

I'm not in favor of adjusting the schedule based on the standings. Just change the wild card to a 2 out of 3 instead of 1 game.

Iíd just be happier with a re seed in a situation like this. Dodgers should be the #2 seed in the NL. Not the #4

I could care less about that trash wild card game cause typically itís two trashy teams.

Cardinals all happy about being the wild card oh their reward ? They get the team with the 2nd best record in all of baseball. Not some equally trashy team.

I think the Rockies- Giants series will make the difference. The Rockies are not terrible. They will compete as they gave the Dodgers all they could take. Dodgers gotta sweep Arizona

So spend some money ya tight wads.

Lots of these franchises like to complain about who spends what. Well youíre not spending enough. You want Pujols back ? Pay him

Different teams have different financial realities. Not as simple as "when your current 40 million dollar goes crazy, just get another one "

Re-seeding defeats the whole purpose of having divisions. The alternative is to do away with divisions and have everybody play everybody else the same amount of times and seed the teams by the final league standings.

Fine , have a division winner but seed the playoffs by number of wins.

Some divisions are just terrible year to year

MLB is never going to seed a wild card higher than a division champion.

Maybe they wouldnít call them wild card teams. This year is especially bad, itís just not the wild card game itís the top two teams would play each other in the NLDS. Meanwhile, trashy Atlanta and Brewers play each other. Iíd wager to say right now the top 3 teams in the NL are the Giants, Dodgers Cardinals and they will all knock each other out within a week.

You're not wrong. MLB should make the wild card a 2 out of 3 series and consider re-seeding the teams after the wild card series'.
