Wow...that was fast. I talked to the reporter in January. Pretty crazy! This is the first time I’ve seen it! She got a bunch of things that I said wrong and had a million grammar errors, but still kind’ve cool!

Thanks very much guys! I’m glad the reporter mentioned Matt who did the engraving and the heavy lifting of making sense of my TAB, but I’m not happy that she completely neglected to mention my friend Bill and Mark & Troy. These guys weren’t contributors, they were collaborators who were at least as important as me to making the piece what it is. I kept repeating their names and I made it absolutely clear that they had to be mentioned, but for some reason that just didn’t happen. They did a whole photo shoot with me and my black and white Frankenstein and my white Destroyer and they ended up not using any of the resulting pictures! What the hell?!

I’ve read the piece over and I’m like “Who did this chick talk to?!”...so much of it is jus stuff I never said! I guess real celebrities have had to deal with journalists screwing things up like this all the time...silly, but oh well. Still kind’ve neat to see I suppose!

Thanks very much! If it weren’t for all the people like you and others that I’ve met here who really give a damn about this kind of stuff I would still be fumbling in the dark.

There are so many jerk-offs and trolls that come at me with knives out online, but those few people that are smart and really into the music have taught me so much that it vastly outweighs the morons and makes everything worthwhile!

That’s the crazy thing...I didn’t! The reporter screwed all kinds of things up. I lived in Santa Monica for a little over 9 months from late 1982 through mid to late 1983. I told her all the many places I lived, where I was born, the whole thing. Somehow she (just for shorthand?) put down that I did all of my growing up “near” Santa Monica...in fact I lived IN Santa Monica for about 9 months. I told her this in the context of the rather odd coincidence that Ed passed away at St. John’s Hospital which was literally three doors down from the house my Mom and I lived in during that brief period from 1982-1983. Just crazy!

I was born in Lafayette, LA...my parents divorced when I was 4. My Mom and me moved to a small town called Ville Platte, LA, then to a tiny town on the California-Oregon border called French Gulch for about a year, then Ashland, OR for about 6 months, then Alamogordo, NM for about 3 years, then Santa Fe, NM for a little over a year, then Santa Monica for about 9 months, then Garland, TX (near D/FW) for a few months, then North Houston for about 3 months, then Irving, TX for about 6 months, then San Marcos, TX for about 3 years until my Mom and I settled in Houston in November of 1986 where I started my second semester of my Freshman year of high school from where I ultimately graduated.

I told her all this but I guess for the sake of brevity, she made the outrageous claim that I “grew up NEAR Santa Monica, CA”...wow!
