True. But he's 30 now. At the same age, EVH had already released the 6 pack, parted way with DLR and welcomed Sammy in the band.

Uhh, I'd say being 30 is a "young man". And the music business, particularly for rockers, is completely different than it was in the 70s and 80s. Nowadays, even the most prolific and biggest music stars MAYBE put albums out every 2 or 3 years. Anyone putting out records annually is going to be a big exception to the rule these days.

It is interesting how age is looked at differently for guys vs girls. A 30 year old female artist is considered old by many, a 30-year-old Wolfgang is still a young man.

In the music biz, 30 is starting to get old, let's be honest. It's a young person's game except for an elite few.

I think some of you are not taking into consideration the industry he is in. Is he old? No, and he won't be for a long time. Is he getting towards being old in pop music? Yep.

Yeah, Wolf will probably have a long career, but most acts are young because young people are the main consumers of new music.

I dont know, I guess I dont see the point. The average lifespan in this country is somewhere in the mid 70s I'm guessing. I dont care what someone does for a living, 30 is young for a man or a woman.

I guess the point is that you don't see a lot of "new" artists hit it big after they turn 30. Granted, he might be a bit of a special case.

The comparison was being made between Wolf and other musicians and their output at 30, so it came across to me as a relative comparison. Of course he isn't old in comparison to the population, but yeah, industry matters.

30 is young for a scientist, old for a tennis player.

Puzzled. You all are talking about him as tho he is new to music. He is only new to being a solo artist.

He has toured extensively and recorded an album as part of a band. It is only the solo aspect that is new but "going solo" is a well traveled part of the business
