Default EVH Basses Coming to a Store Near You?

Just noticed this on the back of the Inspection Tag that came with my Relic'd Frankie Striped Series Guitar:

“EVH guitars and basses are well known for their excellence...”

    Maybe Winter NAMM?

    Finally.

They've also got that "5150 Iconic" based on the Peavey to release. Summer NAMM (July 15-17) may bring the goods.

Sounds like they're getting ready for The Edward....the bass version of the Wolfgang

They just got all my money for a Bumblebee a few months ago.

The bass will have to wait.

Who cares about bass guitars and bass players.

But it all seriousness I have absolutely no use for an EVH bass. I’m not one of those guitar players who likes to play bass. I do have a cheap one I use on recordings if I need to, but I never practice playing bass or anything.

I suck at bass, and it just doesn’t feel right in my hands. I’m way more comfortable on guitar.

That being said, I’ll probably get one. Lol

Assuming it's not identical to the Fender inspection tag (anyone purchase a new Fender recently?) and they only replaced Fender with EVH, I'm definitely buying an EVH bass. I'm in the market for a real bass, I have an student-level Ibanez, but I'm sure whatever EVH releases is going to be something I'm looking for in a bass.

    Depends upon the cost.

For me personally, I am not spending anymore money on gear unless I really get back into gigging, I have enough gear to be a basement musician.

My only bass is a Sterling SUB series Stingray copy. Got it for maybe $200? Honestly it sounds killer - active preamp, MM style humbucker. In direct comparison to my buddy's real Stingray it's just more narrow sounding. Not as thick and barely not as present.

If these are in the MIM sub $1k price range I'd consider picking one up to have a nicer bass. The burst model Ronnie played looked really great, and from what I can tell they're going after that Stingray sound with the humbuckers as that's what Wolf used on the album anyway.

I'm more impressed that Frank has a Mammoth tattoo on his arm than the EVH bass. They're only 2 shows in; that's dedication!
