    Default WACF/Growth Vinyl Question

On a whim, I picked up the latest remaster of Women and Children First on vinyl thanks to some store credit I had with a local record store. Now, I never really had the need to get yet another copy of this album as I have two original first pressings and the 2010 "HQ180-RTI" pressing but since it was basically a freebee and I'm a dumb completest, I grabbed it.

I was a bit surprised to find this is yet another "new" press from late 2020 or this year and not the reissue/remaster from 2015 that had the yellow and black barcode sticker on the front sover shrinkwrap. It has the "new" Warner Bros labels on the record and includes "Growth" with the hard stop ending as in all CD and digital download releases, not the fade out as in (to my knowledge) every other vinyl press of this album.

This is the label on the new release:

My question is - does anyone know if the 2015 yellow hype/barcode sticker LP remaster had the correct fade or hard stop version of Growth at the end?

That new WB logo sure seems odd to me so accustummed to the other old ones.

I only have 1 new WB recent reissue of 1984 cd & noticed Michael McDonald is now listed in the songwriting credits on " I'll Wait" .

No help to the thread title question I know....

Oh- Did your new WACF vinyl reissue include the poster?

Not that I want one just asking for a friend.

Mine did not and I have the 2015 re-release. I had to buy a used copy with it off eBay just for the poster.

The original record, in 1980, did not fade out.

The originally released record fades out Growth. I still have my original copy I picked up on release week back in 1980. The 2010 RTI vinyl pressing also has the fade out. Also both the original and later RTI pressings include the big Roth poster. All CD pressings worldwide of the album as well as the digital downloads include the full, “hard stop” version of the instrumental.

As far as I can tell, this vinyl remaster/repress possibly using the same plates as the 2015 press is the first time the full hard stop version of Growth has been pressed on vinyl.

Well, it has been since the 80's since I heard the record. I coulda swore it didn't fade. Unfortunately, none of my original six pack records made it. I had to replace them a couple years after, each time. Except for '84. By that time CD's were the thing.
    I think I have a WACF from '82 or '83. I'll give it a listen.

Yep, you are correct. I just played my record from '82-'83. I got used to the CD version. LOL.
