Sorry Dak and Lamar, but you are not deserving of that kind of cash. It would help to get some weapons around them--that would make them look better. It certainly helps Mahomes.

No way would I entertain giving Mahommes money to either of those guys. Plus with Lamar, if he suffers a knee injury he is done. Guy is as accurate as a stormtrooper if he isn't creating a play. We have the same argument here in Cleveland with Baker. Extension is likely but at what cost? You don't want a Goff or Wentz dragging you down.

I would pony up some big money to Lamar but only a 4 year deal and less then Mahomes. One broken ankle and some plates and screws and he's going to lose some ability running. He does great against bad teams but in the post season he is not doing so good. Fyi...all these guys are overpaid. But consider this. In spite of NFL ratings being low and covid Disney is about to pony up even more money for MNF and ABC gets back into the superbowl rotation. The cap is probably coming down. The league still prints money in spite of no fans and consessions. So why would the players and agents not want a piece of the pie?

And that's the bottom line. Of course these players are going to go for the max. As fans, we can only look at it objectively and say it doesn't make sense. But teams will do what they do.

Jared Goff made the same as Aaron Rodgers in 2020. Ridiculous.

It makes no sense (to me) that Trevor Bauer is the highest paid baseball player right now--he's not even the best pitcher on his team! And yet here we are.
