If you guys think Kyrie is a ripoff of Van Halen you need to get your hearing checked.

I dont think it sounds like VH. I just always liked the fuckin song, and was reminded when it was posted, since I hadn't heard it in a long time.

Vito Bratta was good but I always thought White Lion was a pretty wimpy band otherwise. Not one my favorites.

Generic hair metal band with a good guitarist. There was a plethora of them in the 1980's.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

When anybody mentions a good guitarist likely wouldn't have made it without X as their lead singer, I look to White Lion. Mike Tramp is awful. He is as charismatic as Charles Watts.

I always say Vito deserved a better singer than Mike Tramp. Flame me all you want I like Vito's playing better than Vai, Satch, or Lynch, but Tramp is horrible.

Vito Bratta was a fantastic guitar player with an amazing sense of melody in his playing ...

It has always saddened me that he essentially quit playing after he became burnt out on the business side of making music. I know he ruptured some tendons or something bad in his wrist playing classical guitar at some point many years ago. Last I heard, he'd supposedly done quite well selling real estate in Long Island and taking care of his ailing parents. Just would have loved to hear more of his playing outside of White Lion.

I used to hate it when I was little. Fucking love it now. When it kicks in at the beginning...man....

Didn't know it was about The Lord's prayer until recent days either. Even better!

The whammy bar usage is all, not the whole song obviously. Again, I was talking about guitar parts in pop songs.

Night Ranger has some pretty good tunes. They were a good opening band for the Circle a couple years ago.
