Yep. Like I said he can say whatever he wants, Ed isnít here to respond. And he knows that. But after talking to Wolfgang, clearly none of that happened. It was very kind of Wolf to even reply to me.

Really glad Wolf took the time to respond you Brett. Was really cool of him to confirm everything for us. You can also understand how this issue is not exactly top priority right now. Grieving his Dad’s death, now running Ed’s companies on top of promoting his own music. He has more than a full plate.

Kind doubt this guy is getting rich off of this, but there is a hell of a lot of interest in everything Eddie Van Halen right now. As I mentioned, if they do go after him any profits made would be divested from him and turned over to Ed’s estate/LLC’s. However, the court could and I’m betting would find him in contempt for blatantly disregarding court orders and jail his rear for a period of time. This assumes he’s still even in the US...

I wish VH would've taken another route: invite some top-notch photographer to 5150, take amazing pictures, and release an official, band-approved book called "Inside 5150."

No one would then go and buy AB's book.

    Oh well.

Unfortunately when Ed finally decided to do something like this he was at his worst. From we think we know, he was fighting cancer and his addiction was seriously affecting him physically and mentally. Seems like a sober Ed is the most reclusive Ed...

I see Lowtide being in the running for an opening slot on his tour.

I can see Brett now calling his boys "hey guys! We're getting the band back together!!"
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Agreed. That would have cost them a shit load more money though.

Unfortunately this was done when Ed was at his worst. Would have been really cool to see this done right back in the late 80's/early 90's. I know this guy acts like a huge fan but IMO a real fan would have shut off the camera or at least done what he was paid to do and never let it ever see the light of day. I think what surprises me is how Alex could have let this guy film stuff like this knowing what condition Ed was in. Maybe they wanted to capture Wolfgang at a very young age, which is cool but it also captured Ed at his worst. I'm sure Wolfgang would love to forget that version of eddie anyway. I have no interest in seeing him like this again. The two 2004 shows I went to were enough for me.

AB acknowledges that heís not a huge VH fan and never was. Ed wanted him to film. He was brought in to do a job.

I’m surprised he didn’t offer a guitar for compensation...or did he? It’s just a poor business decision. End it and move on.

According to the book, Matt literally just told him, and Iím paraphrasing, ďWe donít need you anymoreĒ.

Coincidentally, shortly after AB did some work for Dave on the side, at his house. Filming some videos and such.

    Could all be bullshit though.

I know you have followed this thread LAD, but for those of you who haven’t read this entire thread, AB did in fact get paid as part of the court settlement HE AGREED TO. The settlement in return required him to turn over all photos, video, recordings etc... obtained during his time there. And an injunction was granted from him ever using or marketing for sale anything related to VH/Ed.

He not only failed/refused to turn over ANYTHING he was ordered to and agreed to as a condition of the money he got, he promptly marketed for sale the video he put out. Now he’s hawking a book and lying through his teeth about his relationship with Ed and his right to sale the stuff he is. He’s a fraud and a dishonest dirtbag. Brett has been railing against this guy for a while. I wasn’t very informed why, but having read the court judgment, I can say unequivocally Brett was to kind to this scumbag.

So he tried ripping someone else off by taking advantage of a situation and selling access to things that weren't his, and now someone is ripping him off and selling access to stuff that isn't theirs and he's pissed about it. That's beautiful, actually.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.
