For the record, I actually don’t find this demo super impressive, but Pete Thorn is great, and since I’ve owned an Eventide before, I understand the potential.

One nice feature: you can choose line-level, or straight in front of the amp, which shockingly wasn’t a feature of the H9 (but WAS in the of course more expensive PitchFactor).
    Well thatís dope.

Yup, that pedal looks awesome. Makes me want a stereo or WDW rig to take full advantage.

Do stereo man, itís unreal how great it is to have left and right 4x12s. Do wdw if you can afford it but the stereo set up is so bad ass. If you already have the amp you want, just get a Palmer pdi06, output that to a line box and run it into the eventide. Then just run that to a stereo power amp. I like the VHT 2/50/2 but the Mesa 50:50s are pretty cheap right now. If you have a couple cabs and a thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket go for it.

Well the H9 has A LOT more things than just the MicroPitch algo...itís not really that expensive for what even the Core did. They are replacing it as a platform now, just as they did with the Factor pedals.

The MicroPitch has some exclusive new algos that you canít get on the H9, but they are probably fairly useless.

As far as the line-level, if you use a cheap line out box (I use the Bray LO-1 which is dirt cheap and excellent) there really isnít anything to say for that being in the MicroPitch. The Bray LO-1 even has a nice ground lift pot that helps with hum which you donít get in the MicroPitch.

To me, the MicroPitch is unnecessary like the Eventide Rose or the BlackHole. I just donít see the point when you can get everything in the H9 and whatever the new forthcoming replacement product for the H9 will be.

Is the MicroPitch pedal better than the Mooer Pitch Box? Yes. But better than the H9 or itís replacement? Not by a long shot.

Without 3 cabs & and H&H Power amp; I just always "earballed" it to get that sound. Rhythm chunk & core sound down first (usually via Don't Tell Me for the chunk & chords, & maybe the tap intro to Aftershock to make sure there's enough gain for harmonics & fun sounds), than slowly add the delay and chorus to your ear's liking - thru a FX loop if possible. & Front load your MXR gear. You really need a stereo spectrum of speakers (or cabs) to get the wet/dry/wet sounding 90 - 100%. So, to quote the man himself, "If it sounds good, it is good." Just have fun with it!

I'm surprised there hasn't been more chatter here about the Eventide MicroPitch. I just heard some clips of it on Facebook and even in mono rigs it sounds spot on.

Nobody here has gotten one yet? Are you guys waiting for the stimulus checks in the mail or what?

I know Iíll never use it except for the once in a while time I want to play that tone. And for 300 bucks or whatever itís just not worth it.

Many stores still don’t have it in-stock. Hoping this week or next in my case.

If I didnít have a pitch factor I would buy it for sure, but Iím pretty sure it does the same thing on the micropitch setting.

A Milwaukee Brushless 18v gets pretty damn close because you can change the settings and vary how hard you pull the trigger.

If anyone has a variac sitting around, I wonder if you can modulate how much power it gets until itís the right note on full blast.

I saw an article about it the day it was released and immediately ordered one from Sweetwater. Iíve been thinking for years that it would be great to have a standalone pedal with just ďthatĒ sound; I get that the H9 does a million times more but the older I get, the more I like the simplicity of being able to quickly turn a knob and not have to page through menus. Plus, you can store 5 favorite presets so itís a lot more than a one trick pony.

Hereís some noodling with a compact WDW setup using 1x12 cabs that I was experimenting with.

Setting up a new home studio! And trying to play again after a long hiatus...

So, I have been using this FUCK/Balance-inspired tone for some years now. Never get sick of it... I was testing how it sounds recorded here and saw this thread, so just wanted to share with you guys

I used my ADA MP-1 to record this one. I recall it was a lot of trouble to make it sound like this, change tubes, ISP Decimator, etc. Need to remember all that stuff now!

    Tone based on this one:
